Silva will be a gud signing for manutd n it’ll be better if they go for both villa n silva for 50m pounds…ashley young maybe a choice in terms of adaptability but i really do think that hez jus a big fish in a small pond n when he’ll be put into the ocean, there are slim chances of his survival jus like how berbatov was for spurs n now for united…

Ashley young is in no way mediocre and would i reckon go for 10 million less than silva even if he didn’t would still rather have him but silva would be 2nd choice agree with donovan all silva has done has responded to the one bid tabled one from liverpool i am sure would be met with even more emphatic enthusiasm

you just knew this article would be full of liverpool fans even though it has nothing whatsoever to do with them, although yeh reiras good but 99% of were ready to take silva over him before this news broke (not that hell end up at united anyway mind), ronaldo actually nearly signed for arsenal before united, not liverpool, who didnt even make a bid for him – this means they were not anyway near to signing him btw, and even if they were it means nothing really, its like saying omg gerrard was ready to have a trial at united to force liverpool into a contract (which he was), it means nothing- and as for that ashley young would be cheaper crap, you must be having a F**ING giraffe even medicore english players got for twice their market value these days.

Think these rules are virtually made for liverpool 25 man squad with 8 players under 21 and having trained in england or wales for 3 years… Gk-reina, cavalieri, martin(1) RB-johnson, darby(2) LB-insua(3), aurelio CB-carragher, agger, skrtel, kelly(4) CM-gerrard, mascherano, lucas, benayoun, aquilani, spearing(5) LM-riera RM-kuyt, amoo(6) el zhar,
CF-torres, babel, nemeth(7) pacheco(8) after the rules are fulfilled u are allowed as many extra under 21’s as you like so would add ayala, ngog, ecclestone, allowing us to sell itandje, degen, dossena, kyrgiakos, plessis, voronin and maybe bring in one or two real quality players like ashley young, david silva or van der vaart
Think these rules will tip the balance back in liverpools favour don’t think there are many teams that could name a squad like that without even doing any dealings and most of our youngsters have seen action too definitely something that rafa has to be given real credit for

We need English/British players or players who have come through the youth system of an English/British club.
The new rule in place for next year demand this, we only have 8 and you must have 8 in the squad. I would like Adam Johnson from Boro (Contract Expires this season, could get him on a tribunal) Gary Cahill @ Bolton, Michael Johnson @ Man City. If we can offload some of the squad players who are just not good enough, we can blood our own youngsters in the easier games, were we could carry a player if necessary. I.E. Voronin, Babel, Degen, Itandje, Riera (Can’t shoot to save his life), Ngog, Plessis, El Zhar, Dossena. Obviously we wont get rid of all these players unless we can bring in alternatives.

Agree with the anon at 9.45 we have the stars coming through particularly nemeth, pacheco, dalla valle, amoo these will all be gr8 players but we also see 6 or 7 players that aren’t good enough could be sold on to get one real world class match winner and rafa has had a lot less time than wenger and totally transformed the level of youngsters at the club where rafa hasn’t been as good as his french counterpart is trusting them in the first team starting to see signs that he is learning on that score too and that his way is to keep bringing them on slowly till about 21

Can’t you just admit that you have no money and a ridiculous amount of debt. Benitez should follow Wenger’s lead and invest in youth – much cheaper, allowing you to pay of your debt and if done properly can be successful.
