Defender Anthony Gardner could feature for Hull after being sidelined for a month with a knee injury.
Geovanni, who signed a new two-year contract on Friday, should return after being one of a host of players rested for the midweek Carling Cup defeat.
Defender Andrea Dossena and midfielder Alberto Aquilani are the only two absentees from the Liverpool squad.
Dossena injured his groin in the midweek win over Leeds while Aquilani still has an ankle injury.
Suspended: None Doubtful: None

Five wins on the bounce in all competitions has put a spring in our step and we really should see of a Hull City who has started this season in a completely opposite fashion to last seasons heroic opening.
We are still having some problems coping with big sides especially on set pieces and long balls so given that Phil Brown’s side have a tendency to make the most of exactly those sorts of openings, we will have to be careful and simply do the easy things in a basic fashion.
No team has conceded more Premier League goals that the Tigers so hopefully El Nino can carry on his rich vein of form in what should be, fingers crossed, a home banker. As always with us, its about scoring early and not letting our heads drop if we miss a few chances.
My Prediction: 3-0 to Liverpool
