Thierry Henry Confirms He Will Rejoin Arsenal

Henry spent eight successful years at Arsenal after Wenger signed him from Juventus back in 1999.
At the time Henry was a winger and, after an unsuccessful year spent at Juve, eyebrows were raised when Wenger splashed out £11m to sign the France international.However, Wenger took Henry under his wing and transformed him from a struggling wide player into one of the most prolific strikers to have played in the Premier League.
He scored a record 226 goals in 364 appearances for Arsenal before moving to Barcelona, but Henry, 32, admits his heart will always belong to the Gunners.
He said: “I’m trying to finish what I started nearly 15 years ago but we will see. I always said you go back to where you belong. I never stopped saying I love Arsenal and I will one day go back there.
“How? I don’t now. Maybe as a water boy. Who knows? I just love the club and eventually one day I will go back for sure.
“It was always a pleasure to play and train with Wenger. He is a great human being on top of everything. I’ll be honest, I really don’t see Arsenal without Wenger.
“Before I came to Arsenal I was very down but Arsene Wenger was there and he knows how the game should be played and the rest, as they say, is history.
“He only knows how much time he invested in me and many others. I still talk to him and watch Arsenal on TV.” (Telegraph)
This is interesting news, one hopes that any return he does make would be sooner rather than later. Having won everything he can at the Nou Camp perhaps he would be keen on making a return trip to the Emirates. The guy is a legend and he clearly loves the club, which is cool as we all love him. He still has a few years in the tank and clearly hasn’t lost his hunger for the game or his eye for goal and if he were to make it clear that he wished to leave Barca for north London he would make a lot of people very happy indeed and a lot of Premier League defenders would have be on their toes.

the only person who is a clear front runner to succeed wenger is thiery. he will return home in a coaching capacity. he should start as an assistant. he will then do a pep guardiola for us. cant wait!

dont think thierry would make a good manager, but bringing him back in any other role would be great, a true legend and not hiding the fact wenger and arsenal had a huge hand in making him the great player he is.

i say we bring back hnery as a player coach along with vieria and pires and maybe campbell
also bring lehmann and seaman as GK coaches
considering how good mannone is already having 2 legendary arsenal goalkeepers as a coach would work wonders for him
also that way when wenger goes he can leave the club in knowledge that the Ex players will know how to run the team when coaching
and lehamann or henry to become manager when his is gone

Henry won’t return as a player but I am convinced he is already in discussions with Wenger about returning as a coach or manager in training. I doubt he has the overall capacity and ability to manage a club right now but he does have an inspirational force and “savoir faire” that would motivate young players. I could see him working with the Academy or the reserves. He could certainly learn the managerial skills there and he is a true Arsenal loyalist so he could be relied on to take the club and his new role(s)to heart.

Henry was class but hard to see him making a manager. Just doesn’t seem to have the personality for it. By all accounts the dressing room turned against him in the latter part of his time with us. Kinda points to the fact that he doesn’t have the skills to deal with people in difficult situations. Hard to see who could follow Wenger anyway.

fabregas’s transfer to barca depends on our performance this season… if we win a cup or 2 then he definitely wont leave… if we dont then he’ll get tat much more inclined to leave arsenal…
