looked more like a 5 a side match at the end! he has got to be worth a shout
anonymous - October 10th, 2009 at 12:21 pm
to be fair rafa is just doing what is best for a young superstar by giving him first team football at a small club where he won’t have a huge amount of pressure on every performance

agree with anonymous at 12:21…

I ain’t buying it, Nemeth should be in Liverpool.
Retryboy - October 10th, 2009 at 6:19 pm
Been saying it since b4 the season started nemeth is the man to partner torres in a 4-4-2 he is ready the whole deal showed a lack of faith in our quality young players with kyrgiakos being needlessly signed when ayala should have been trusted.

benitez is tapped to be honest u get mcaps for small club then big club
w8 till nemeth is bak
isaac hunt - October 10th, 2009 at 6:59 pm
ive seen him play a few times for the reserves and he wasnt that good but that is playing in a reserve league . he would probably be the worst strike partner for torres as he is very similar in the way he plays. but you never know how he would play with him so maybe we should give him a chance (and not just in the carling cup) when he comes back from AEK. but i can safely say that i would rather have him than voronin. i think the only reason rafa plays him is to show the fans/owners how bad our subs bench is. it really is pathetic that players like voronin and dossena are playing for liverpool. they are happy to sit on the bench whereas the younger players would be hungrier. rafa should give the youth more chance.
RyanO - October 10th, 2009 at 7:45 pm
isaac, I don’t like Dossena either, but lumping him with Voronin does him no justice.
Retryboy - October 11th, 2009 at 3:24 am
Don’t know what reserve games you were watching isaac you must have missed the 26 goals in a season where he was the star of the show and we won the league. Maybe you saw games last season when he had a torrid time with injury and was never fully fit believe me he is real quality and is gr8 as a link up striker think maybe last season’s injuries explain his loan but he has proved his fitness and his sharpness we need him back and in the first team

“to be fair rafa is just doing what is best for a young superstar by giving him first team football at a small club where he won’t have a huge amount of pressure on every performance”
Well, actually AEK is not the synonym of a small club. Just an example: when Nemeth scored against the “arch-rival” Olympiakos, there was 60 000 frenzy fans on the derby. And AEK a bit like Liverpool, they want the titel badly after 14 years or so. So he is not only getting experince under his belt, but also learning to handle pressure.
BTW, since he departed from Liverpool :
1.he played 4 games in the AEK (2 goals and an assist, on 1 game was voted the MVP of the round, on 2 others he was arguably the best player of his team)
2.he played 4 games for Hungary on the U20 World Championship, scored 3, + made one with earning a penalty. (having 2 game winning goals), helping his team into the semis. (To put it into this picture: Hungary did not win any play off game in a FIFA tournament in any level…since the Magic Magyars in 1954)

Nemeth does look the real deal, and i will be interested to see how Simon is getting on aswell, possibly a future ‘hungary’ partnership for the reds? By the way how the hell can that ref’ still be in the job after giving out almost 6 reds or so?
RaNE - October 11th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
simon not so sure has a future at anfield we have ngog nemeth ngoo and now someguy ba but i think simon is more of a kuyt style player while nemeth is quality now
