Tottenham Should Turn to £11m Next “Ryan Giggs” Adam Johnson

Portsmouth Vs Tottenham Tickets Still Available!
Dubbed the “Next Ryan Giggs” Adam Johnson has a bright future ahead of him and perhaps an even brighter one if he manages to get a transfer away from Middlesbrough in the near future, dependent of course on whether Gareth “I am an awful manager” Southgate can get the Riverside outfit back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Harry Redknapp is reported to be very keen on the England Under 21 international who anyone with an ounce of footballing knowledge realises is a better bet than his predecessor at Boro, Stewart Downing. Tottenham could probably benefit from a bit of balance in the form of an out and out left winger.
Finally out of Downing’s overrated shadow, Johnson has been an ever present this season and has been a huge success and has even developed an eye for goal, scoring as many goals in the first three months of this season as had in the previous four years at the club.
The White Hart Lane outfit was using Luka Modric effectively on the flank before he was injured earlier this season but with Aaron Lennon bombing down on the right many believe the north London side could do with a similar style of player doing likewise on the left and pinging in excellent crosses for the likes of Peter Crouch, Robbie Keane and if the cross is very low to the ground, Jermain Defoe.
Having come through the ranks at the north-east club Johnson may well be keen on trying to lead the team back into the top tier but if that fails I would expect he would be pushing for a move that would help him gain recognition in the senior England set-up.
Johnson is very much an old fashioned winger with a lot to offer and many sources believe that Tottenham may be just one of many sides with an eye on the £11m rated youngster and if I were Harry I would move sharpish to avoid being beaten to the punch by another top flight club.

I’ve never seen him have a good game, Downing might be a bit maligned by some but he’s streets ahead of this lad
I can’t see Harry going after him and seeing he’s out of contract next year I can’t see anyone even thinking of paying half the £11 mill suggested

Yes – then we’ll have not only the next Ryan Giggs, but the next Zinedine Zidane (Taarabt), the next Beckenbauer (Bunjecevic), and the next Jimmy Greaves (Nicky Barmby).
Where can we find the next Paulo Tramezzani though?

What a crock of shit, don’t need him, don’t want him, won’t buy him, simple as that. We’ve just bought nick the crank supposedly to give us a bit of width on the left, we have the “not a left winger” left winger coming back soon (modric), we have bounding bale if needs must and of course we have danny the whippet rose. Why oh why would harry waste 11mil on a kid who not only hasn’t shone against real premier league opposition for any length of time and who untill recently was still classed as an understudy to a player who wasn’t good enough to bring to white hart lane last year. Give it a rest will you you boring git’s this one hasen’t got the legs to run eith so don’t even try and suggest it might happen.
