Tottenham could sign Brazilian striker Adriano for free in the January transfer window, the 27 year-old, who is in the middle of a one-year contract with Brazilian club Flamengo, is keen for a return to Europe.

That is sure to alert Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, who first signalled his interest in the former Inter Milan player last summer.
Adriano is desperate to secure a World Cup squad place and has indentified a move back to Europe as key to achieving his ambition. (Telegraph)
Yes Adriano may be carrying a few extra pounds and yes he may not be the striker he once was, but we are talking about a Brazilian international who has won four Serie A titles and wouldn’t cost a penny, so surely it is a deal that Harry will consider?
The Inter Milan man, on loan at his former club Flamengo, has had three shockingly poor seasons at the San Siro but has been in top form at the Rio based side and the 27 year old is very keen to fight his way back into the World Cup set up and if he sees his chances may lie in a move back to Europe then surely he could be encouraged to sign a short term deal that wouldn’t break the bank at White Hart Lane.

Spurs need to be very careful because overweight players can spell some underlying problem that also happened to another south American Mr Maradonna and we all no what caused that .

i thinck thats bull mate Mr Maradonna was past his best when he got fat, ronaldo got fat after playing for a lazy team that didnt train just possed at real madrid. if any1 can find the best out of adriano it would be harry with a stricly no drinking and fast food this boy will become a worlds best he use to be a great player so strong on the ball u mite aswell just let him score cuz then he would have to give the ball back lol, i am just saying i think that pav is a good player in a different leauge we get 12 mill 4 his transfer and adriano for free wat more do you want then we can buy moussa sissoko DMC and a DC that wat i would like harry mate if you r reading this?
