Playing in the Championship will do him a load of good as he will learn that he cannot dwell and mess about on the ball too much or he will get clattered. When he did play for Spurs he came across as a big time Charlie, did not pass and preferred to showboat. Hopefully he is learning. Gio looked a great bit part player in a very strong Barca side, he has got loads of ability but the premiership is a lot different. He showed glimpses in his first pre-season and then had a chance in a struggling side at the start of the season. Harry needed to change the side and put workers in which spelt the end for Gio. Both he and Taarabt are very young still, will no doubt want games and that will be the problem at Spurs. The loan move has worked really well for Taarabt as he started well, was then dropped and criticised and then came back and scored the wonder goal at the weekend. Once Gio is fit, he will struggle to get on the bench. However, i would much rather see him on the bench than Bentley. Pav is a good player, i would like to see him stay and fight for his place, he has been unlucky with injuries and when he has played the goals he has scored have been good finishes. He may get an opportunity with Defoe out for 3 games and will really have to do something special to get a starting place after that. Crouchy scored a hatrick in the cup but that was not enough to get him a starting place in the next few games. I would not be at all surprised to see all of them sold in the summer if not sooner, a shame, but if Harry uses the money and replaces them with better players that integrate into the team and improve the squad then that can only be good for Spurs and the players.
