Fuck off Loserfools! Just one game and you’re in heavens? Remember who won the league title last season? It’s Man United, obviously! And even if Loserfools won both ties against Man United last season, Man United still won the league! So don’t be too happy yet, Loserfools. Get the “consistency” drilled into your brains.

WELCOME TO ANFIELD YOU MANC SCUM!!!!
critics are quiet now every player was amazing benayoun was rampant, carragher was back to his usuall self and torres well we all know about him.
5 mins stoppage time couldnt save united this time coz we botted am all over the pitch.
And for all the people saying rafa will lose his job its been confirmed that he still has a job even if he doesnt win the league.

Argh! The anonymous legion! Run for your lives!
Ok deep breaths. In and out. In….. Out…..
Phew.
Now then. Great game from the reds. Battled from the first minute to the last. Everyone on the field pulled their weight. Great game from Lucas and Masch (felt the second yellow was harsh, but Carra should have been off, so fair’s fair I guess). Great goal from Fernando “One chance, one goal” Torres, and then great composure to hold onto the lead. Also a fine ball from Squirtel and Lucas to set it up. N’Gog showed all of the composure that Babel lacks. I was nervous when he was one on one with Van Der Sar, but he couldn’t have been cooler in an igloo.
I wonder how often Vidic wakes up in a cold sweat at night after having Nando Nightmares?

Aquaman - October 25th, 2009 at 5:43 pm
keep clutching at straws, fake saif. When you wake up tomorrow and look in the paper, do you know what you’ll see? A couple of stories saying that we’re selling Pepe to Man U for 50p or something similar, but in the results column there will sit:
“Liverpool 2 – 0 Manchester United”
And no matter what you say, that will not change.

Hehe. Welcome back saif. If you notice my post above, you will see that I, at least, knew that it wasn’t you. So your reputation is not completely ruined.
We did have some luck on our side at last, though credit to the ref for being consistent, if slightly insane.
saif - October 25th, 2009 at 6:32 pm
thanks aquaman i don’t know if you realised this but last year liverpool won 2-1 with tevez scoring for them and this season with out him it’s 2-0 it’d be wierd if it’s 4-0 at old trafford

he he. A good point. In the last three the score stands at:
LFC 8-2 Man U
I’m liking the trend.
anonymous - October 25th, 2009 at 6:50 pm
We told them to come back after 18 titles so that we could tell them no matter what, we would still beat them in a one on one game of pure football. Nuff said!
anonymous - October 25th, 2009 at 6:56 pm
I told you Liverpool would beat Man.U. They are what the Yanks call a “clutch club”, meaning when the pressure is really on, they have the tradition, courage and skill to whip any team, including the Mancunians, even missing their best attacking midfield player! Well done and what a season this is turning out to be. Its a shame that the troglodytes are spouting vulgarities and offal at each other but there is some intelligent commentary here. One win, does not a season make, unless it is the last game of the season and wins the league.
...samlfc.... - October 25th, 2009 at 6:56 pm
Fantastic i love it when we beat them
I rank Beating Man utd just below thecarling cup and doing the double over them equa to the carling cup
We have to build on this victory and go on another unbeaten streak like last season!
I managed to see the last 10 mins of the game and in that 10 mins i thought we played pretty well……I’m guessing Lucas played alright judging by no critism lol
saif - October 25th, 2009 at 7:04 pm
LUCAS HAD THE BEST MATCH OF HIS CAREER
saif - October 25th, 2009 at 7:12 pm
It was the game the whole country was watching. Could Liverpool get back on track? Would Rafa Benitez be facing the sack if his side lost again? Would a beach ball score the winner?
All those questions were answered, but what else did we learn at Anfield ask MirrorFootball’s Richard Aikman and Ian Cruise?
1) Sir Alex Ferguson still loves those mind games of his. Claiming key trio Wayne Rooney, Patrice Evra and Edwin Van der Sar were all doubtful to start the match, imagine our surprise when all three made the starting XI at Anfield. Do you think Rafa was shocked as well?
2) Andy Gray remains the top dog in football punditry. “A team that loses five of their first 10 league matches cannot expect to win the Premier League,” said the canny Scot. That’s why he gets paid the big bucks, y’know.
3) Steven Gerrard looks much better on the pitch than he does off it. Hooded leather jackets are SO last season, dahling…
4) Jamie Carragher visited the HMS Invincible in the build-up to this match. MirrorFootball assumes it was to remind him what a ship that isn’t sinking looks like.
5) There was much wit and wisdom on show prior to kick-off. United fans donned Eric Cantona masks to taunt their rivals, while both sets of supporters delighted in the ironic throwing off beach balls onto the pitch. We’re told that’s what passes for wit and wisdom these days, anyway.
6) Sir Fergie made a surprise early substitution, bringing on a beach ball for Dimitar Berbatov after eight minutes. OK, he didn’t, but he might as well have done.
7) Torres has received many complimentary remarks during his time at Anfield, but this one surely takes the, err, cake. When he netted Liverpool’s first goal, Mirror Sport’s resident Scouser leapt to his feet to exclaim: “Get in there, ya biscuit!” Answers on a postcard please…
9) Talking of Owen, he may have lost a yard of pace over the years but he still had two yards too many for Jamie Carragher.
10) Nemanja Vidic must love playing against Liverpool. He might not win that often, but he always gets first crack at the hot water.

saif - October 25th, 2009 at 7:31 pm
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez: “We showed character and the way the fans got behind the players was like having a 12th man. Everyone worked together and we won. The players answered a lot of questions with that performance. We just take it one game at a time, we can’t be too excited with today.”
Donavan Ried - October 25th, 2009 at 7:33 pm
Great win, could not fualt Rafa’s choice of players, nor his sub,( though i did wonder why Ngog and not bael, till i realized that Babel gives away the ball more and pointless freekicks) …… ownly thing that gets me is why can’t Rafa get it right more often. Maybe he needs to be under pressure more often ……..
This be no means takes anything away from what i have said about Rafa in the past. Still not the Man for Liverpool …. But none the less credit where credit is due…….well done
Ryan Babel - October 25th, 2009 at 7:34 pm

Whatever you say Donavan. Obviously your Opinion is the only one that matters. If we are down 2 1 and Benitez takes off Torres it will be because he is injured, tired or some other reason. It won’t be because Benitez wants to lose the game. You seem to have it in your head that Benitez does things for the detriment of the team.
I know that i can and do, at time explain myself porperly, But i though even you would understand what i was trying to say after explaining it twice. But i guess not ……. i.e. Torres! not saying it would be bTorres but using him as a example……..
There have been times in the past were we need to win a game and needed more attacking options on the field and Rafa has taken some oe like Albert Riera for someone like Babel or Benayoun trading one attacking option for another instead of taking off, lets say Lucas(Example again) for Babel or Benayoun therefor give us greater attacking options……
Seems that you have lost the plot …..
...samlfc.... - October 25th, 2009 at 8:06 pm
Instead of Argueing why don’t we for now keep on celebrating our win over Man utd as this could well be the start of 15 games being unbeaten….can be more or can be less.
I’m glad David N’gog has got a goal against Man utd as that can inspire him int becoming a great goalscorer…hopefully

Well done liverpool you helped us Chelsea to go back at the top. Anyway MAN U are struggling in all their matches lately they badly need Ronaldo and Tevez I doubt they will win this season
Mark G. - October 25th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
It is easy to observe an absence on this forum, of hysterical home grown experts and half wits, that have been trying to run Rafa out of town. I guess it is not easy to type your post while eating crow. Must be a bitter meal, after the idiot Rafa on the strength of great performance of the whole team, (where hopeless Lucas and awful Ngog, and not good enough Aurelio and Kuyt, Insua and Benayoon, played rather prominent roles in the victory over Man U), showed his true class and value, and commitment to the tradition of (never say die) Liverpool Football Club. I haste to remind all the previously mentioned, plus Glen Johnson, Daniel Agger, Skrtel, Mascherano, Pepe Reina and Nando they were all brought to our club by the said Rafa. Lets hope that , in line with the improved health of the team, and advancement of the youngsters we can continue to build a great future for our beloved club.
Red_Phoenix - October 25th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
The game couldn’t come at a better time for us. We now have a reference point in terms of a great performance and great things to come this season. Rafa got it right today, Lucas played well, Ngog scored. It was our day.
From our rivals only chelsea took maximum points this weekend so thats an added bonus. We wait to see them at anfield [and African Cup of Nations].
Aquaman - October 25th, 2009 at 8:30 pm
Sheesh, Donavan, You’re coming in for some unwarranted stick at the moment. My sympathy.
Personally I love discussing football and, since its such a subjective topic, it almost always dissolves into an argument (which I still love). I realize that I’ve been one of those who’ve been rebutting your every point (I meant it in a positive way and I do respect your opinion), though it seems that I may have fueled an inferno. My apologies if this is true.
anonymous - October 25th, 2009 at 8:30 pm
anyway liverpoll wont win a shit this year///
Mark G. - October 25th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
Donovan, I have a soft spot for you, you welcomed me to this forum, we definitely see Rafa in different light, thats okey, why don’t you join the great party, and stop raining on our parade? Would you have been happier tonight, had we lost? Why the vitriol (you will run and hide you say). We did not when, you were announcing for two weeks the wake party for Rafa. We were still trying to point to you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. That’s a light of the train coming down, unless you get off the rails of negativity and contempt, you may get run over.

Mark G. - October 25th, 2009 at 8:59 pm
Thanks Pete, I kind of liked the best Nando leaving Ferdinand in his wake and roofing the ball, behind Van der Saar, followed closely by David Ngog, waiting, waiting, waiting and then calmly depositing the ball behind again VdS.

Donavan Ried is always welcome on Liverpool forums as he tells us exactly what he thinks about the club because he is a fan and wants to express his opinions and thats what we do, we give out our own opinions (For the anonymous guy who slagged of Donavan Ried opinions mean your own point of view, if you don’t understand how to Sign up and have your named showed then i’m guessing you wouldn’t know what opinions mean)
Like i said before Great win for us and its should be the start of some great results!!
Aquaman - October 25th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
I think the world may just have ended.
Quote from http://www.goal.com:
Sir Alex was gracious in defeat and believed Liverpool outplayed his side and deserved the three points.
“All in all Liverpool were the better team, they created more chances, they were better than us on the day and I’ve no complaints…Liverpool were the better team.
“They deserved their victory,” he concluded.
anonymous - October 25th, 2009 at 9:40 pm
Marceyside, Marceyside, Marcey all the way. Its the sweetest thing to be a KOP right now. Man U fans, when you woke up this morning you didn’t think of five oclock, did ya? Muthaf***ers! Remember, that place is called Anfield. When we lost 5 back2back games you thought we were dead but we were not buried yet and the EPL is not won in October….! Man Utd MY ASS.
anonymous - October 25th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
the person who called us Loserfools is stupid he seemed to think man u where better than liverpool just cause they have wont the leagu the same ammount of times as us.The thing that shows a teams skill,is the way they play on the feld not how mutch money u spend on players or how mutch u cheat,an also a great atmosphere helps too cause u dont get as good atmosphere as anfield anywhere else
AND ALSO ONE LAST THING WE WON IT 5 TIMES ***** 5 TIMES 5 TIMES 5 TIMES 5 TIMES 5 TIMES

Aquaman – October 25th, 2009 at 8:30 pm …… Thank you Aquaman. I don’t mind the “unwarranted stick” after all everyone is entitled to their option. What i do not like (Just like you) is people have that option posted “anonymous” …… At least have the guts to stand behind what it is you have to say ……..
Mark G. – October 25th, 2009 at 8:32 pm ………. “Would you have been happier tonight, had we lost? Why the vitriol” …….. Someone once said here that if Liverpool had to play Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd every week we would be Premier league champions ….. But if we had to play Sheffield utd, Wigan and Hull we would be demoted ……. I love it when we play and win. I love it when we play ……. when we don’t when we just roll over …… i get mad
Aquaman - October 25th, 2009 at 10:28 pm
hahaha. That’s the worst of the anonymous half fans yet. A few things you should note Anon @ 9:40.
1) Its “Merseyside”
2) You’re a Kopite, ie a resident of the kop. You aren’t a kop.
3) We lost 4 back to back games.
On the plus side at least you spelled Anfield right.
I wonder how long it’ll be before you’re posting on a chelsea game saying exactly the same thing except bluer and more chav-like (ie lots of swearing, incoherent, psycho babble).
Donavan: My pleasure. That quote is painfully accurate when judging our last few seasons. But I think it’s come right this time. No draws so far (woohoo!) and we’ve comfortably dispatched all of the lesser teams we’ve come against (I don’t include Sunderland in that since they’re doing really well). Its just that when we wobbled (which is inevitable for all teams), we also had some bad luck.
The wobble I’d say would be Fiorentina. They outplayed us fair and square and we never looked in the game at all. Then we went to Chelsea determined to put things right and played really well. But one careless mistake put the game beyond us, and we were hit again as we pushed to try and bring it back. Then we had our beloved international break and the bad luck began. Injuries a plenty with morale already low.
So we headed off to Sunderland. We played poorly because of this (and other things) but it really does smart when the only goal you concede is so blatantly illegal you can’t find words foul enough to spew at the ref.
Then came Lyon. All we needed was to play like the LFC of two years ago (score one and don’t concede), just to get the confidence back before united. But, yeah, we know how that ended.
These four losses were so intricately linked to one another that script writers are jealous (to my mind at least). If we had held on for a draw at Chelsea, I reckon we would have had the confidence to beat Sunderland even without G&T. I say this now because we’ve broken the chain. Torres is fit again with Stevie close behind. Aquilani is coming and we beat United. Now is the time for optimism because I for one see only sunlight ahead of us.

dave - October 25th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
donovan ried is a twat and not a true liverpool fan, benitez is by no means a mediocre manager,if we sacked him he would walk into a job at real madrid and that would not be good for football because they would win everything.
dave - October 25th, 2009 at 10:45 pm
i believe we will go on from this and win the league, man united are not good enough, they have only had one good game against spurs this season and chelsea will struggle in january when drogba, essien, obi mikel and kalou go to the african nations cup.
RaNE - October 25th, 2009 at 11:21 pm
True the title doesnt end in october BUT it doesnt mean we cant still go on and win the title. Teams that start off well tend to die of sooner or later, what i mean is take arsenal 2 years ago for example started well died off and liverpool last started great but failed to win matchs later on. Hopefully manu and chelsea do likeways this season but its a 6 horse race at the minute and maybe christmas we can judge wholl be in the top 4
anonymous - October 25th, 2009 at 11:42 pm

wats the point of winning only big teams and flopping to small teams like sunderland, stoke…etc?its that a waste?
RaNE - October 26th, 2009 at 12:14 am
i dont see why MANU fans are getting at carra, if you looked at vidic he should of been sent off long before 90 minutes because he seemed to think he was playin rugby and diving at people
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 12:17 am
c’mon!if man utd win the cup four times in a row..that will be a joke,a world’s end sign…i dont think they are thinking of winning this year.
Aquaman - October 26th, 2009 at 12:37 am
Greetings again, saif’s brother.
Everyone who’s moaning about Carra only getting a yellow. Yes, you are right. It should have been a red. But at the same time count yourselves lucky because Vidic’s should have been a straight red as well. Even though the ref was lenient (to an extreme degree sometimes) he was consistent.
Now I sit back and wait for the torrent of anonymous fools to call me biased.
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 12:38 am
Liverpool ended a four defeats in a row run… mancs are heading for the fourth defeat in a row against liverpool!!!! lol
Aquaman - October 26th, 2009 at 12:40 am
btw, Mark G: I think that the anon @ 9:40 wins for funniest post of the day. Classic example of a half-fan trying to act like one of the old boys.
however he definitely gets 2nd
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 12:51 am

Aquaman – October 25th, 2009 at 10:28 pm …… the one thing i will say is that we play better when under pressure.Would prefer we did so alll the time though…….

Donavan Ried - October 26th, 2009 at 1:39 am
anonymous – October 25th, 2009 at 11:51 pm …….”referee is a cheater=)jus look at carragher,he was the last man n tackled owen…he was given just a yellow card…not a red card…!” ……… You may have a point there anonymous …… But he sent off Masch’ when there was no contact with Van Der Sar, and what about Berbatov wrestling Kuyt to the ground which should have been a penalty????…… Guest things have a way of working themselves out…..
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 6:39 am
It will be a pity when Liverpool’s 1st team get trounced by Arsenal’s u19s.

anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 10:37 am
Well done to Lucas who had his best performance in a liverpool shirt. Showed he is capable of more than just passing the ball sideways. Long may it continue!!
Poor show from Vorinin.
Hoogleboogybugleboy - October 26th, 2009 at 10:52 am
I don’t know about Lucas for man of the match? He did miss a sitter but he did have a good game. He seems to play better when Gerrard doesn’t play for some reason. Liverpool played very well yesterday, I even got the team selection right which is a first.
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 11:05 am
Hey..liverpool is the mother of all teams,i love liver… bt i get agitated when fans say m a liverpool supporter for life..then aftert a bad run the so called fans are calling for the managers head..ohhh please if u r a supporter support your team through its thick and thin patches dont be a hypocrite, when we are winning that is the only time you know how to shout the loudest…dont make noise about the liverpool team i know..have a little faith for crying out loud…

LEON anonymous – October 26th, 2009 at 11:05 am ……… Welcome to the site……. Those who know me hear will ( If being honest) tell you that i hate no great love for Rafa as a manager or his often questionable tactics. I have made this clean on many an occassion……
I have also said that some here consider you to be not a true Supporter if you question the manager……
Some here even question others being a true supporter if they have not been to Anfield …………….(the last two being rubbish of course)
You can call me what you want to, but the one thing that i am not is a hypocrite ………..
I think the same of Rafa now as I did last week, last month, last year. and stick by my every word ………
hypocrites are the people who moan about Rafa picking this player and that player and then end their post with the words”In Rafa We Trust”
As I said before welcome to the site LEON. …… If you log in ( about 1/5 of the way down on the right hand side of the home page) and enter your name and E-mail address you will get a password sent to you (takes about 2 minutes to register and get the password) you can then have your name at the begining of every post you make …..
isaac hunt - October 26th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
mascherano only misses the arsenal kids match!
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 1:23 pm
What are the Mancs moaning about the ref for, if Carragher deserved a red then so did Vidic but both got yellow. There was three times in the first half were Berbatov was throwing himself to the floor (couldnt tell second half due to sitting in the Kop). Worst of all though, 5 minutes added ‘Fergie time’
Retryboy - October 26th, 2009 at 1:27 pm
Awesome performance the scum never looked like they would create anything no matter how much injury time they were given benayoun given the central role finally gave us the creativity we needed, aurelio was awesome his passing added a different dimension was just a perfect performance by everyone including lucas and rafa. To all those slating donovan if rafa had performed like that week in week out there wouldn’t have been any questions from anyone. He changed so many little things the full backs not expected to provide the width and be wing backs, benayoun playing behind torres have said loads of times he can be the new peter beardsley. The balance was spot on with defence and attack where as before we were far too defensive. I will bet all the idiots that have written off carragher and blamed him for our poor run have back tracked now
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 1:36 pm
Are you a better fool when you call the team Looserfools?
What else was Liverpool suposed to do if not to crash a 2-0 to Ma U?
Do not eve afford to say who won the last seaso title: If we knew and agree it the one who won it still to win it,..then other teams would not exist,… for what?
Please, allow other fans to enjoy as u did when your team won( one day) and do not call their team Looserfools, it is too poor, ethically!
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 1:40 pm
manutd for the carling cup!! haha scums
khan - October 26th, 2009 at 1:59 pm
Good game Liverpool tends to up the tempo now and again.I do hear what Donovan Reid says in a sense. However i dont think Rafa is to blame.I think we should also thank the fans for motivating the lads the atmosphere was electric. If you compare the fans to last week when we lost to Loyn way different. Thanks to the Kop as well you know i had goose bumps when you never walk alone was sung and i knew this was going to be a good day.
Thanks to the lads for playing so well and lets not forget the DON HIMSELF Rafa.

anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 2:12 pm
Ferguson stick to your cheap wine, your nose is getting redder by the day.
Donavan Ried - October 26th, 2009 at 3:49 pm
Retryboy – October 26th, 2009 at 1:27 pm ….. I thank you for the support …… And again you are spot on with what Rafa and the team done on Sunday ….. especailly with reguards to the Yossi/Peter Beardsley thing ……
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 4:04 pm
Jack Wilshire will run rings around Liverpool’s defence midweek.
isaac hunt - October 26th, 2009 at 4:10 pm
shall we still replace rafa with allarydyce RETARDBOY. that shows that you have no knowledge about football. last week he was the worst manager on the planet now hes the best. we lose together and win together. something that you should learn mate. Rafa will bring us the title one day you just need some patience.
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 4:43 pm
Man u are stil by far best. I wonder y they give baby or opponent referees to take care of such nice games. It was in the interest of the big old legendary names that crowd down anfield, or else i dont see why or yellow cards went towards man u and Mascherano was playing like the father was the referee. Oh men, come the last game, we will be on top and i wonder where liverpool “the ex-and now never champions” will get themselves to. Liverpool , “never walk alone” i wonder what that statemnent means. I think they have been walking alone since 1991. Man-we believe winning trophies is a talent, come end of this season. This is just a phase like when liverpool beat us 4-1 and Fulhum beat us 4-0 but we got what we play for – the trophy. While others imitate, we go for trophies. No question about that.
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 5:36 pm
Calvo…
Hands down you guys deserved the 3 pts.
Utd apart from the odd moments never looked doing much to be fair.
From a Utd supporter point of view I was surprised at the selection with regards to the centre of midfield but thats not taking anything away from the likes of Masch and Lucas( never thought id say that! ).
The strange thing is that when Utd play a team in need of points ( or morale ) we usually end up losing but when a team is on a winning run they usually win.
Anyway again well played now its Utd who have a few question marks against them.
anonymous - October 26th, 2009 at 11:31 pm
my zigg torres was hurt for a while…. came back and still not 100 percent he managed to score on man u… straight dogg!
