Good move all round?
Alex McLeish is lining up a move for Tottenham defender Gareth Bale when the transfer window opens in January.
Birmingham manager McLeish will have around £40million at his disposal following Carson Yeung’s takeover and, according to the Daily Mirror, will spend £3m on the Spurs left-back.

It may well be time for Gareth Bale to look for a new challenge as it appears that Harry Redknapp doesn’t see him as part of the immediate future. Now into his third season at White Hart Lane it would be easy to forget that the lad is still just 20 but seems to more often than not fail to impress when in a Tottenham shirt and appears to be a different prospect to the player all manner of clubs were fighting for back when he was impressing many at Southampton.
Redknapp has full backs to burn, not literally, and the Welsh youngster is far down the pecking order and could feel that a move to Birmingham could help resurrect his stuttering career.
