I wouldnt bother, he has said now that he feels he is better suited to a small club for now, this says to me that he lacks confidence i mean yes he may feel that he wont get into liverpools first team but if he cant look at lucas and dossena and feel that he could mix it with these players whats the point?

I could be wrong coz he is only young but i think at this age any young player linked with liverpool should be confident.

When our squad is fully fit we will have the likes of Gerrard, Aquilani and Mascherano in midfield with Lucas likely to warm the bench. We also have Spearing in reserve along with Plessis. So where would Koman fit in our already massive squad? Koman has said he wouldn’t to warm the bench and would push for a place in the line-up:

My pro’s and con’s:

Pro’s:

* He is young, and has plenty of time to develop especially at a period when the Melwood youngsters are looking to push for places in the X1 team.

*He has four of his countrymen in the shape of Nemeth, Simon, Plosokei and Gulacsi. Therefore, he should fit in resonably well, furthermore, this young crop of hungerian talent are set to grace the grounds of some of the biggest clubs in the future.

* Although we have alot of depth in our midfield are they really very creative? Yes when Gerrard and Benny are in the team and no doubt when Aquilani returns we should be but as we have seen so far this season when they are out we really lack that edge, e.g, we lost to fulham although we had nearly over 70% of possesion! Masch is a stalwart and Lucas is also good defencively along with Spearing and Plessis but they lack that final ball and neccesary pace…………..Koman COULD be the perfect solution.

* He seems to hold Liverpool fc in high regard and so should want to join the club in an eventuality.

CON’S

* Well just how good is he??? He plays respectively regulary at Bari but does that mean he can make the jump up to Liverpool f?? I mean he has been brilliant at u-20 international level but can he produce thhat sort of form at the biggest stage?

* As money is a massive issue at the club at the moment (even though we have signed numerous sponsorship deals??) would it be sensible to spend almost (likely to be) half of our transfer funds in January on signing a player who may not play regulary in the next season??!!

* Well as i said before Liverpool have lacked real quality with some many injuries, we dont have enough top-quality wingers and we are really lacking another quality striker….

* Unfortunately, Rafa has bad form when buying players under £5m.

My view: I do (still) trust Rafa’s judgement most of the time, and I like the possibility of Koman playing for the reds. We need more attacking midfielders!! However, I would like Rafa to explore options first before making a bid, as i said in the above a quality striker is a must and a playmaker of VdV stature wouldn’t go a miss. After all, we do have some very very good youngsters in the reserves and maybe some should be given more of an opportunity before we look to buy even more!!

Afternoon donovan…Somehow cartoon donovan seems to resemble cartoon barnesy lol. Totally agree as you know my belief in the youngsters we have is immense and have been calling for their inclusion all year some like nemeth and darby for longer. Rafa has to be the most cautious coach ever with regards to young players. People use insua as an example but if it wasn’t for long term injuries to aurelio and dossena he would be in exactly the same boat now with the brigade saying “he obviously isn’t ready or rafa would have picked him!” clear out the dead wood and get them in! Got to keep hoping he finally deems them ready now. Tonights selection will say a lot will we see carragher shifted over to RB tonight with agger and kyrgiakos CB rather than include darby.

This is a rumour. It is unfair to use a rumour to slag off Benitez Donavan. If however it is true and this Koman fellow is a good player then it would be good business to sign him. How would it add to the clubs debt?

I understand what your say and I totally agree, but in one way i am sick of us buying for the future and seem to be doing nothing for the present, plus the fasct that Rafa doesn’t seem to really play the youngster that much ….

We need to keep snapping up the young talent the article is right it’s the one way we can get top class players in think this will spell the end for babel and dossena leaving us with benayoun, riera, aurelio, Koman as LM options making about £8m just off sales and a whole wage off the bill got to be good business.
