Chelsea and Juventus have been linked with a move for Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik.
Hamsik, 22, has brought about interest in both the Premier League and Serie A after a string of solid performances for the Italian side.
The Slovakian youngster has featured in all 11 games for Napoli this term, scoring seven goals in the process in a fruitful campaign to date.
Such a strike rate has understandably caught the eye of a number of high-profile clubs keen to bolster their attacking options.
Hamsik, however, says he is not aware of any interest and insists he is happy with Napoli.
“Are there many rumours about me?,” a modest Hamsik asked Corriere dello Sport.
“I am happy to be here and I want to point out that I am a Napoli player.”
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis heaped praise on Hamsik’s mature attitude towards the game and his club.
“Hamsik said he wants to remain in Napoli? He is an extraordinary professional who has a long contract with Napoli,” he said.
“He is bound to Napoli and he has an extraordinary relationship with the club. That’s why Napoli’s fans love him so much.
“Being young, he may make mistakes, but he always gives his best.” (Sky Sports)
Marek Hamsik is having a great season at Napoli thus far with his fantastic recent performances against AC Milan and Juventus marking him out as one of the hottest prospects plying their trade in Serie A at present.
I am not surprised that Carlo Ancelotti has his eye on the adaptable attacker but given the stunning success Chelsea are already having across all competitions perhaps such a move is not a necessity but then perhaps given the potential transfer ban that could come in force after this coming window it might make sense to prepare for the worst and make some signings just in case?
The Slovakian international has been integral to Napoli’s successes and they are unlikely to allow him to leave on the cheap hence the valuation of around £14m placed on the 22 year old.

i think its a piss take that chelsea are gonna be aloud to buy in the next window it gives them the chance to stock pile players to cover the period there banned for its a joke they should take points instead because by giving them this window there effectively making it so the ban won’t effect them so really there not been punished it just looks at a quick glance like they are, what a fucking joke!

Spot on there baggins always happens they will just go and spend £100m in one window still they do risk the ban being extended on appeal.

it won’t matter though they’ll have enough cover to not have to worry about it been extended most of there squad have got atleast 2 years left and i can see them buying 6-8 players so even if they extend it to 4 windows it’ll not make a difference they should just forget the ban and take 20-30 point like they did juve for match fixing for the next season

I seriously hope not as the guy is quality!
And I would be happier if he went to Utd as they need to replace Scholes´s previous goals input!!!
