Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has clambered into an escape pod at White Hart Lane and is programming the co-ordinates for Valencia into its sat-nav. The Russian striker arrived at White Hart Lane for £14m just over a year ago but is behind Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Sandra Redknapp in the pecking order for first-team places at the north London club. With Valencia set to flog David Villa for £35m during the January transfer window in order to ease some of their notoriously B.I.G debt, Tottenham’s want-away striker is seen as an ideal stop-gap. Well it appears that should Roman indeed be joining La Liga side Valencia then it would imply their inevitable sale of one of their big stars. Pavyluchenko will only get a decent run of football if there is a random accident that takes out at least two of the three strikers ahead of him. Harry Redknapp appears to like playing Robbie Keane, Peter Crouch AND Jermain Defoe, leaving the Russian sitting on the bench wondering where it all went wrong.
Remember the Spartak Moscow man was on top of the world after his marvelous performances at the 2008 European Championships, he was then whisked to White Hart Lane but hasn’t managed to get himself a regular spot in the team and whilst last term he managed to get himself on the starting eleven team sheet in half of the Premier League fixtures, thus far he hasn’t managed to get one start.
You can’t blame Harry though, clearly whatever he is doing is working. The north London side is sitting pretty in fourth spot, even though the club has had a very tough set of opening fixtures. Roman will be best off leaving in January and a move to La Liga could well work out nicely for him.
The only danger is of course, if David Villa isn’t sold, then he will find himself warming an entirely different bench.

To be fair ngog is only 20 and progressing well. A million times better than the ponytail albino but so is nemeth who needs no transfer fee just a recall!

Well I do like Pavluchenko and in January if we were to sign him and re-call Nemeth along with selling Voronin then we would have good striking depth e.g. Torres, Pavluchenko, Ngog, Nemeth.
