I blame Pellegrini. If Pellegrini resigns I hope to god Rafa Benitez doesnt come to Madrid, then Madrid will be coming fourth place every year.

It is hard to believe that a once proud and super-successful team is now reduced to depending on one key player to win them games. With Ronaldo out of action, all those ” superstars” are out of sorts and having bad days on a more or less permanent basis. What Madrid need to do is up their paychecks by another 500% and maybe they’ll actually show up for a game once in awhile. Lassana Diarra, who was a workhorse for Arsenal and Portsmouth is now the most “effective” player for Madrid. Why is this? Well, for one thing he was trained in a system(Arsenal) where pride of place, work rate, team spirit and self-confidence are key attributes to succeed. He doesn’t have a big Ego to feed, he goes out there and gives everything, in each game. He was one of the least expensive transfer Madrid made this year and yet he is showing the most form and commitment game in and game out.
As Shakespeare so adroitly said, ” all that glitters is not gold”!It looks like Real is full of fool’s gold for the moment. If they fail to make the European Cup final, they will have egg all over their collective faces….just like they have now for the Copa del Rey. They have no pride in their team, they are a collection of super-expensive, egotistical, profiteers. they know that if Real can find someone to replace most of them, they will be history so they are cashing in on a bonanza and that is their highest motivation!
