Harry Redknapp appears to have plans aplenty to rejuvenate the White Hart Lane squad still further and has his eyes on some top notch youngsters and even though the club has posted record profits they could make a tidy profit from selling these four dead weights in order to balance the books.
David Bentley – Value: £10m – Interested: Aston Villa and Sunderland
Had the chance in the north London derby to prove himself one last time and he blew it. Forever looking for a clever ball that never comes off and unable to perform the basics of the game. His confidence is shot to pieces and perhaps the lack of first team action isn’t helping but how the hell can Harry Redknapp pick a player who is just not good enough. The club could get at least £10m from a sale and the likes of Aston Villa and Sunderland have been sniffing around the one time England international.
Roman Pavlyuchenko – Value: £12m – Interested: Valencia and Roma
An entirely different kettle of fish to Bentley, Roman is very much the right player at the wrong time. Tries his heart out when he has a shot in the first team but will simply not get ahead of Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe or Peter Crouch and with a World Cup starting spot in the balance the Russian international will have to leave soon in order to prove to Guus Hiddink he can once again be the quality player that wowed the fans at Euro 2008.
Gareth Bale – Value: £6m – Interested: AC Milan (apparently!) and Birmingham (thats more likely)
Yes I think all Spurs fans know that the Welsh youngster is still just 20 but he appears to be going backwards and not forwards. Has yet to start a Premier League game this season but perhaps that is a blessing in disguise given his incredibly poor record when he does make an appearance.
Alan Hutton – Value: £4m – Interested: Surely someone
Harry Redknapp has an army of full backs and Scottish international Hutton is very low down on the list and again a player who promised much but gave very little. Injuries and poor form have marred his time at White Hart Lane and once again, like the others on this list, if Harry is offered a decent price for the former Rangers man then he would gleefully take it with both hands.

They are all worth cashing in on. Shame about Roman, but the others were not worth what we paid for them.

JJ has the hart in the game! Bale is a great player and is young and still has lot to give, maybe loan him but not sell. Assou Ekotto! is this a joke, he’s the best left back Spurs have had since i remember. Dawson is a great backup for the team beacause of Ledlays and woody’s injury problems!

Need to get rid of Jermaine Jenas. That would solve all of Tottenham’s problems.

Not right to say anyone should die,or leave really is it?

Agree with those players listed. I think you could have added Jermaine Jenas – a player that splits Spurs fans down the middle as to his value to the team.
There are a few others that could also go.
Will need another keeper in January after hearing the news about Carlo Cuducini – pity.
Spurs should also think seriously about how much longer they can keep Ledley King going. His display against Arsenal could also be a sign that his knee can no longer cope – though I recognise that may be hasty given his remarkable performances in other games for a man that cannot train.

I’d get rid of Pav simply because he’s never going to get a real go at Spurs with our current striking options. Regrettably we’re better off selling him while he still holds value.
I’d also cash in on Hutton and Bale as they are nothing short of a liability at the back. Both are reasonably good going forward but not so much as to warrant their deficiencies at the back.
As for players coming in, its difficult to see sometimes where Harry is trying to take us. For example as much as I like Niko (In fact he’s class) where will he fit in when Modric comes back. A lot of people are demanding a true left winger. If this does happen I can only assume that modric will slot into the middle. Lennon on the right obviously. That therefore leaves Wilson, Jenas, Hudds and Niko battling it out for 1 position. It therefore seems strange to me that the 1 person already earmarked for a transfer is Sandro. A player which would slot directly into the same position??
Although I actually rate Jenas, perhaps he would have to be the sacrifice in order to get Sandro in. We could also sell Bentley as surely Niko could deputize at right wing in Lennon’s absence should it happen again.
Any way. I have full faith in Harry. I’m sure he’ll find a way to get the most out of whatever squad we have. Although I do hope he sorts out some of the team selections. Why he didn’t start with Niko against Sunderland is beyond me. I do respect that he acknowledges his mistake, hopefully he will learn from it.
