Harry Redknapp has today been linked with moves for two up and coming England youngsters who are making a name for themselves in the Championship. Crystal Palace teenager Victor Moses has been a much sought after talent for two or three years now after coming through the ranks at Selhurst Park and making a good impact when called upon at England Under 17 and Under 19 level.
The Nigerian born winger has a great turn of pace and can also play effectively up front and has shown that his game has gone up a notch and is figuring more prominently in the first team picture this term and would be a good signing for the future.
Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach has been an ever present this term and the 21 year old has shown maturity beyond his years and is now a fixture in Stuart Pearce’s Under 21 set up and again would be a very useful player to have on Tottenham’s books.
Harry Redknapp is clearly looking to inject more English talent in lieu of the recent ‘homegrown’ regulations brought in by the Premier League but both Championship sides will not give up their young talents lightly and fees for the two could reach as high as £12m but even that would be something of a bargain.
Obviously there is always a danger when bringing in young talent that may or may not succeed in the top tier but both players have shown they are more than capable of making a name for themselves. A deal that perhaps sees either player then loaned back to their original club, such as with Kyle Walker at Sheffield United, may be the best way to get these deals done.
