Barcelona will offer Yaya Toure and Bojan Krkic to Arsenal in order to clinch the signing of Cesc Fabregas it was reported today.
The Arsenal captain has long been linked with a return to the club he left as a 16-year-old, and reports in Spain suggest a deal will be completed in the summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is determined to hold on to his captain but Barcelona believe that offering the two players, who Wenger is known to admire, plus cash, will be enough to sway the Frenchman.
Both Yaya Toure, the brother of former Gunner Kolo, and Krkic have fallen down the pecking order at Barcelona.
Fabregas has made it clear he has no intentions of leaving Arsenal, but despite this the rumours linking him with the Nou Camp refuse to disappear.
It has also been reported in Spain that Real Madrid could come in for 22-year-old Fabregas with an offer approaching £50m. (Independent)
Barcelona continue to attempt to unsettle Arsenal skipper by making rather clear tapping up attempts to lure back their former youth team graduate but on this occasion they do at least have the decency to make a decent offer for the Spanish midfielder.
The two players that the Catalan giants are willing to offer both have the potential to be of interest to Arsene Wenger but are still not likely to encourage the Gunners boss to even consider selling up the club’s prized asset.
Bojan Krkic is a hot prospect who has the footballing world at his feet. The 19 year old is a full international and whilst on the periphery of the first team picture at the Nou Camp still appears to be a legend in the making. Yaya Toure is a player who has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Emirates as many have seen the defensive midfielder as a logical player who would greatly suit Wenger to play alongside Cesc Fabregas, giving him more time and space on the ball.
Essentially I don’t think any move for Cesc Fabregas boils down to money I simply do not see Arsenal ever considering selling their captain and a move would only occur if the player himself pushed for it and I don’t see that happening either regardless of what the Spanish club have to offer.

Ah, those 3 words “It was reported”. So often the difference between conjecture and fabrication.

agree mate as long cesc wont leave we dont need to sell him. we have enough money for new players if needed. i think we need another dm to cover the great song in january and probably chamakh or dzeko as another striking solution but thats it. if senderos will leave we need another cb and i am sure we will get then hangland or this defender from the serie a ( i think bari it was ).

ermm, seems people weren’t reading the article. The source is there in big letters, The Independent (which is a pretty decent source), and the number 48, well that comes from ‘close to 50m’ as quoted. Why not read the piece next time instead of just spouting crap comments.
As for the potential deal itself, well its not a bad deal on paper but we will NEVER, and i mean NEVER sell fabregas unless he himself decides he wants to go and right now he is in top form and loving it at Arsenal so i am not worried about any move for the time being.

If/when Cesc leaves he will be replaced by a player called Aaron Ramsey, not sure what club this Ramsey fella plays for but I have heard many many people say he sure looks good.

anonymous - November 16th, 2009 at 7:23 pm
Dunno what you guys are on about… Cesc is good, but Yaya Toure is amazing, and Bojan will become even better + 50 million to find a Cesc replacement? Would be happy if we accepted or rejected the bid. In Arsene we trust!

Everyone has a price. kaka went for over £50 million. Ronaldo went for £80 million. But the difference is THEY BOTH WANTED TO LEAVE!!
Cesc fabregas has always said he wants to stay. Why the phuck dont we hear the media saying Madrid or Barca want Torres, after all look what trouble Liverpool are in.
Wenger has answered this question already but i guess the media have forgot. He said:
“You want Cesc, Give us Messi!!!”

Arsene knows what is best and we trust him. But if i had to value cesc i would say he is in the £60 million bracket at the moment.
Kaka,Gerrard,Fabregas, his name is already mentioned among the best in the world. He is NOT english so will end up going abroad eventually but wenger knows when the time is right.
I hate to say it but i feel that within the next two years Fabregas will no longer be an Arsenal player.

First, Barca is a smaller tam than Arsenal. So Arsenal do not need their money. Arsenal is th 3rd largest club in the world, ahead of Barca, Chelsea, Milan, Juve.
Second, Barca should first take Bendtner and Silvestre for Messi then Arsenal can believe they are serious and consider a deal in the future when Fabregas decides to move back home. Cesc is the most coveted player in the World, ahead of Messi, Rooney, Torres, Robinhio, Kun, Drogba … He is just unsellable.
Third, he does not crave a move. If and when he wants to leave, then Arsenal will cash in or give him a deal good enough to change his mind.
Dream on Barca & Real.

Love all the delusion on here. Cesc says he is staying and not going anywhere. He has also said in interviews that he will go back to Barcelona one day. Stop being so precious and accept the kid will want to go home at some point. He’s from there, all his family live there and as I say he has stated he wants to go back. personally if there is any truth in the above rumour I would take Barcas hand off!!!!!!!!!

And to say barca is a smaller team that Arsenal just shows the calibre of moron we are dealing with here
anonymous - November 17th, 2009 at 9:53 am
And he certainly aint the most coveted player in the world. Who the hell wrote the post at 09.46 a 5 year old or an actual Labotomy patient? never read such one eyed garabge in my life Arsenal bigger than Barca Milan and Juve. Are you on medication?
anonymous - November 17th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
Lol, Barca smaller than Arsenal, they are probably the best and biggest in the world right now. Arsenal aren’t even in the top three in England, when Cesc goes and Wenger leaves they wont even be a top four club, just wait and see!!
anonymous - November 17th, 2009 at 2:47 pm
I think if arsene wenger want this team with a lot of achievement he shouldnt dare put captain fabulous on sale pls dont touch. Gunner 4 life KAMAL

At the moment Cesc prefers to stay at Arsenal. If we look at Arsenal team they are living there likes brothers. Wenger has developed their relationship such a way. And Wenger is respected by all players inclusive Arsenal former players bcoz Wenger treat them like a father treating their sons. That is why RVP, Cesc and the likes are happy to play for Arsenal. Bcoz they do think money is not everything. It can be experienced from those who have left Arsenal like Alex Hleb, JAR etc. One more thing Arsene Wenger has always tried to give equal chance to his players to feature in the game wherever possible and always motivate his players as well as be accountable for any failure of his players. That’s why Wenger is respected and loved by his existing and former players.

The arrogance of Barca its players and its fans is astounding. What a bunch of classless turds you are. Que sera sera.
anonymous - November 17th, 2009 at 5:50 pm
he is Catalan and will go home at some point. Its not arrogance for Barcelona to want him back their coach and many of their players are pro Catalan.

I dont knw punk who says Arsenal is a bigger richer clud than barca, go hang Bro, barca is the 3rd biggest club in world club football and one of the most successful club in the World, Cesc is good and i dnt see wenger selling him, so is messi, Rooney or Gerrard.. besides Cesc is not willing to move so why worry and speculate, Barca and Real are far better clubs than Arsenal, they should fuck off and leave wenger and his academy boys to blossom ( even though they don’t).. p.s fuck arsenal and Man u people..
