Any Tottenham fan with a working pair of eyes will have remembered how Spanish winger Diego Capel was repeatedly linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the summer of 2008 well it appears that the speculation about just such a move is beginning to start all over again, but perhaps now the timing is in fact right for such a deal to become a reality.
With Luka Modric still out injured and Harry Redknapp apparently keen on getting some natural width to balance the superb Aaron Lennon on the right now may be as good a time as ever for Tottenham to push on with their attempts to sign 21 year old Sevilla man Capel.
Many sources suggest that negotiations are ongoing as to this move becoming a reality either in January or failing that next summer. Sevilla are doing well on both domestic and European fronts but some reports suggest that the north London club are set to make an offer to the Spanish international that he will find hard to refuse.
Harry does like to chop and change and may well have some cash in the pot given the recent financial upturn at the club and their good start to the season and if there is anywhere the club could do with strengthening it could well be out wide on the left and perhaps another centre back who is not injury prone.

Instead of Capel, we should be giving Danny Rose some match time.

Agree!!! give danny rose his chance… Give him a good run in the team..he will come good.. He could play in the cup games…There’s no need to spend big on foreign players even though he is class!! we need to bring our youth team team players at spurs up to first team level..

Many Spurs fans have been blinded by Modric’s brillaint form into actually thinking eh is a left-winger. His preferred position is in fact attacking central midfield. So, if Capel does arrive at the Lane, Danny Rose would be second choice left-winger – which ain’t so bad.
That said, if ‘Arry gives Rose his chance and he takes it, it could save some serious money – and when i say this I am bearing in mind that ‘Arry is letting reserves out on loan rather than entering them in reserve league to see if they can cut it. And Rose hasn’t gone out on loan agian yet!

How about buying some players of actual quality instead of expensive stopgaps. Danny Rose needs blooding in the lower divisions, we can’t rely on children when scrapping out a champs league spot.

I agree with my fellow supporters, give Rose a go, the times I have seen him play he has looked good. We don’t want another situation like Taarabt where he wants to move on, we have got to stop the revolving doors on our promising youngsters. This has got to be the way forward especially when we are building the new stadium, surely funds will be a little tighter than recent years despite what Levy says. As far as a champions league place, forget it we are not good enough YET! That was proved against Man Utd, Ar5ena1 and Chelski.
