Arsène Wenger will protect Arsenal’s title challenge against further injury by air-lifting Herita Ilunga from West Ham and then heading over to Real Madrid to evacuate none other than Martin Keown’s old mucker, Ruud van Nistelrooy. (Guardian)
This is an astonishing piece of news, but could it possibly be accurate? Yes perhaps another striking option could go down a treat but would Arsene Wenger really bring in a player who is 33 years of age and is not a player we Arsenal fans like in fact we pretty much despise him for a great many reasons, not least for his antics against us on various occasions.
There is no doubting the Dutchman knows where the back of the net is and still does even after all these years but even though we could get him relatively cheaply, some reports suggest £4m would do it, I still don’t see this happening, never in a month of Sundays.
Yes Robin Van Persie is out for a few weeks but we have goals coming from all over the place right now and can still call upon Eduardo, Nicklas Bendtner and Carlos Vela and hell why could also use Sanchez Watt so I don’t think that Wenger will be pursuing the former Man United man.

I saw this in the Guardian as well, and in other places, I wonder if there is any truth in it? I don’t like Ruud either, but he could still be a useful player to have.

No, NO, No way!

Ruud is a rotten bastard but a good striker

I would rather contract the HIV virus.
anonymous - November 18th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
No thanks…. although if we did get him it would have to be on a free like micheal owen.
RVN would score goals for us, like owen does for man united.
BUT WENGER KNOWS BETTER….

don’t stir shit, it would not happen. stupid blog
anonymous - November 18th, 2009 at 5:41 pm
i actually wouldnt mind him coming to us. he is a decent striker with experience. yeah fair enough, we used to hate him beacause he played for man utd. but we also hated sylvestre till he joined us. and same with gallas.
so i think he’ll be a decent buy for us.

seriosuly
ruud vann nistelrooy would be a great buy for arsenal
considering atm weve only got 1 striker
wana see him and maybe ilunga from west ham
anonymous - November 18th, 2009 at 7:08 pm
ilunga is the worst left back in the prem sort it out

What a load of bollox. I’d rather have Adethewhore back. We got enough striking options in reserve without picking another manc cast off. If he ain’t good enough for Madrid then he ain’t good enough for us.

Bentner is out with a broken dick after sugery… Watt may be an option, but Walcott also seems to feature sooner than later. Ruud will not (in my opine) go to a top 4 rival after staring at Man pUke. I go with Eduardo in the center and leave Arshivan out left. Bring in Rosiky at left Mid, adding some wisdom and composure in the left creative midfield… The big Q is who plays left back with Gibbs’ injury? Maybe a non traditional left back choice?

Call Martin Keown now!!!

anonymous - November 19th, 2009 at 12:43 pm
We are agree, if it is only free transfer like Micheal Owen.
anonymous - November 19th, 2009 at 1:29 pm
to (most of you) tossers, you’d take him for 4m if it guaranteed you a title, and if you still say you wouldnt then you’re lying.

It’s insulting to all horse faced cunts to even sing songs about Ruud.

Please buy him Wenger! He is a great striker, and he is not expensive. He also play great with RvP!
anonymous - November 20th, 2009 at 4:51 pm
What a load of wangers….this will never happen since Wenger doesn’t parachute players in without a great deal of thought and planning. He will avoid a “superstar,Madrid reject” has-been who is 33 years old and would likely last about 3 months. He is too well known and too old, Arsene prefers unknown, relatively young diamonds in the rough like Vermaelen who he turns into great performers in short order. Arsenal do need another experienced player but not an attacker, they need a holding midfielder like Fletcher or Song.

tsssh, i agree with you about wenger USE to buy young unknowed players! But such a good deal like this, does he may to consider…. I think he shoud buy him

arsenal fans neeed to wake up and smell the coffee you play the best football in the league have the best young talent in the world playing in ur team sami nasr,i fabregas, theo wallcott, jack whiltshire, gibson, but the truth is u aint won nothing in four years?why you may ask yourself.il tell you.your missing a real leader in defence like tony adams and even sol campbell before he lost the plot.your missing a leader in midfield like the great patrick viera and a real goal poacher like ian wrigth.thats when i think you will win the league.the present moment you will lose your stars.under wenger you will be known as a team that has potential.its worrying times ahead if you ask me.the likes of chelsea and man city will pull away soon due to thier wealthy owners!how much patient will fans the board have with wenger?can you imagine another trophyless season?????

I would rather eat the worm-infested faeces of a stray dog in Longsight, Manchester, than have this horrible scum play one second for my beloved club.
And that’s a fact.

Hey how abt gettin Henry back on a free transfer… his contract nyways runs out this season… instead of wastin his life in front of yanks @ LA galaxy or some other shitty american soccer club he wud prefer returnin to t club which made him… n he wud be a great asset to arsenal’s youngsters….by warnin them from joinin teams like barca n ruin their career….
