Tottenham Lead Chase for Fantastic £13m Winger Ben Arfa

Spurs and Portsmouth both want to sign Marseille’s Hatem Ben Arfa who has fallen out with Didier Deschamps and his shiny black leather jacket. Ben Arfa has accused Deschamps of “breaking his balls”. Deschamps says he didn’t break his balls, they were already broken and actually he was only trying to fix them and he may have slightly chipped one while he was doing it but it’s not his fault if his balls are actually quite badly made and frankly quite cheap in the first place. (Guardian)
22 yard old Hatem Ben Arfa was a year or two back considered one of the shining lights of French football and was invaraibly linked with a move away from Ligue 1 to the top clubs across Europe but in the past 18 months he has somewhat fallen from public attention and even though he is still performing to a high level with Marseille he can’t seem to buy a break from Raymond Domenech who steadfastly refuses to call upon the left winger when it comes to International duty and Hatem has now gone over a year since his last senior France call up.
Tottenham are constantly referred to as a club with ‘left-sided’ issues and as such are linked with every decent left winger in world football, plus Stewart Downing, and whilst Hatem Ben Arfa is a top notch talented youngster I don’t see Harry Redknapp spending big bucks in this position as he has Luka Modric to fit into this hole when he is fighting fit.

So what then? Lennon, Palachious,Modric,BenArfa, across the middle. Wide balls down both sides and centre to the middle for Crouch.
No thyanks this is not the Spurs way.We play to feet not head!!!
w What we need is another class midfielder like Modric and a good, very good striker to go with Defoe. We already have two good fullbacks who can provide the width now and then
