Why Is Rafa Refusing to Listen To Reason on this Liverpool Star?
by YNWA on November 24th, 2009 325 words | 48 commentsWe have attacking problems, i.e. a lack of alternatives up top, the thing is we have a talented striker who could well be about to explode onto the scene, only for some reason we loaned him out to a faraway country and refuse to bring him back, why?

Whilst it would be churlish to suggest that Fernando Torres was the only decent striker we have I think its safe to say that when El Nino is out we struggle to find the back of the net but there is a youngster, Mr Krisztian Nemeth, who is beginning to get a bit of a reputation for himself. The Hungarian has a handy knack of scoring goals and has been doing so throughout his time at the club, be it in the reserves or youth team and now he is doing pretty well at AEK Athens and can’t stop scoring for the various level of the national team he has been representing.
There is a ground swell of opinion among Liverpool fans that Nemeth should be brought back from Athens as soon as possible, but for some reason Rafa doesn’t feel this is the right time to do so. I think that on occasion Benitez doesn’t trust enough to youth, if such a player had been at Arsenal he would be playing regularly in the Carling Cup and be on the bench ready to make an impact in the Premier League but here he is aged 20 and still yet to play a single minute in the senior set-up.
Whilst its good to see the likes of Jay Spearing, Martin Kelly and Daniel Ayala in the first team picture there is also good reason to try some of the other youngsters we have, if nothing else it may put some pressure on the regulars and cause them to buck up their ideas.
Please bring him back Rafa!

Firstly. You do not know that Nemeth would be playing at Arsenal and secondly you do not know that Benitez is not planning on bringing him back. Loans are subject to contracts too and for all we know he might not be able to return yet.
Saying that. I would love him back in the squad. He is for sure a far better option than the cry baby that is Ryan Babel.

Nemeth went to AEK on loan for a year as part of the deal that brought Kyrgiakos to us. Rafa had no choice as he wasn’t given any money from those Yankee bastards. In Rafa we trust. YNWA

nemeth looks pretty good with the ball. he was excellent in egypt and i think he needs a little more experience and athens well be good for him.
jimmyk - November 24th, 2009 at 6:38 pm
i am very disappointed about nemeth. but these things happen. its a real shame because with the torrid injuries we have had would of been an absolute gift to him and other young players ti get their chance. gutting.
dalle valle.
kermit - November 24th, 2009 at 6:39 pm
only saw him in preseason and he looked pretty useful
jimmyk - November 24th, 2009 at 6:45 pm
nemeth was meant to break through last season but he was buggered with injury!
anonymous - November 24th, 2009 at 6:48 pm
We cant bring him back early. They signed a 1 year deal and hold his registration until then. They would have to agree to release him if we wanted him back early.

chuck dalle valle in the deep end for a match

There is no way that Liverpool would allow a loan deal to exist that didn’t give them the release clause, no club would allow a loan deal where they couldn’t get THEIR own player back, it just isn’t done. All those who believe the player CAN NOT be brought back are wrong, Rafa can always bring him back, at the very worst there would be a time release clause that would mean we would have to give good notice

Why did we get Kryiakros in the first place. WE HAV KELLY AND AYALA!!!
RAFA OUT!!!! HIDDINK IN!!!!!
Retryboy - November 24th, 2009 at 7:27 pm
You can cancel a loan at any time we are debating doing it with san jose at bilbao because he isn’t getting games. If they are complaining give them back kyrgiakos! Benitez isn’t bothered because nemeth is in the fowler mould probably not suited to the lone striker. We can’t let a talent like his go to waste because of rafa’s belief in one system. Same with pacheco who whilst 18 is amazingly talented. Was ridiculous keeping voronin and letting nemeth go on loan said it at the time and anyone who watched his performances in the reserves not just his goals, assists, link up play lad has it all and would have no qualms playing him beside torres. He would score 20 a season and torres would score even more with his assists, he is that good!! 30 goals in 35 internationals from under 17- under 21 sure that record would match up well with god himself. We need to be able to play 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 depending on who we have available and definitely as our best attacking talents aren’t lone strikers not many are. Get him back in the squad and get the ponytail albino gone! Should have been introduced in the carling cup 2 years ago.

OK so here’s the deal… As soon as Aquilani is in the team in place of Lucas our season is going to take a turn. We are struggling on attack and Lucas just isnt doing the job from the midfield. He has definately improved but with Rafa pushing him back to a defensive mid role and his obvious nerves and inexperience he just isnt coping and we are getting torn apart as a result. I think the defence will pull itself together soon enough… Its been unstoppable the past few seasons and we has just been a bit shaky with injuries and new fullbacks(Johnson is insane though). I also think babel should be given some time on the right, Kuyt hasnt got the pace or attacking flare and although he works his ass off everygame I feel Babel is a more talented footballer and could definately be molded into a star if Benitez played him. We need to bring Nemeth back and if I would have one signing this summer it would be Lennon(pity it will never happen) YNWA
Rafa holds all the cards now, we have a talented enough squad to compete in all competitions… Yes it may not be as big or as star studded as Chelsea, but I feel United don’t have the greatest squad and they are still their usual… AWESOME. Rafa needs to turn it around or he must go, give him till the summer… No more complaints or questions asked

Lazy copy, join and paste south african Kopite lol the nemeth story deserves its own comments!! Seriously though good points, spot on about lucas destroying the balance thing is will aquilani(if he is ever introduced) be restricted to the half way line too? Totti said he has played from a holding midfielder to off the front man. Reckon if he ever gets a chance he will have special boots on that clamp him to the pitch if he approaches the penalty area! He has been fit for ages rafa just prefers filling the team with work horses at the expense of creativity. Emphasised with babel who is as you correctly stated a much better player on the right than kuyt.

It’s the only way to get your comments noticed when you anonymous lol… Lets hope not, knowing Rafa’s tactics I wouldn’t be surprised if he was. But then again, Rafa has been going on about how brilliant he is his passing in the final third, and how he is a great decision maker on attack. Lets face it, Aquilani is an attacking midfielder, that’s where he shines and that is certainly where we need him most. I seriously feel that he could be turn around to our season, we need him to get on the pitch asap… hopefully he gets more than 20min tonight against Debrecen
anonymous - November 24th, 2009 at 8:43 pm
Totti has faith in him, and I think Totti has been one of the greatest footballers in the past decade, definately in Europe. So why can’t the old gaffer, Rafa, give him the opportunity to become a legend
anonymous - November 24th, 2009 at 8:45 pm
o am hoping yossi and aquilani come on at half time
anonymous - November 24th, 2009 at 8:49 pm
i fully believe aquilani will be a success for us

good start from us

1-0, now lets fucking batter them
anonymous - November 24th, 2009 at 9:18 pm
Nemeth is a good young striker, but there is no point calling him back from loan when he N’gog is better than him. Better to keep playing N’gog and for him to keep scoring.
anonymous - November 24th, 2009 at 9:58 pm
All this in rafa we trust is fuckin bollicks , hes a retard , we are going backwards how the fuck can lucas go from a 4th choice midfielder to a 1st choice this season ? who would sell sami hypia and then take that big daft greek cunt as cover for the hole sami left? then theres the zonal marking 11 goals from corners already this season, you all go on as if its everyones fault but rafas when in reality its his fuckin team that he has took 5 years and alot of cash to put together and to be fair its a mid table team at best , his time is well and truly up he should quit if he has any decency so we dont lose any more money on him by paying him off for the remainder of his contract…………… Andy , Crocky red.
anonymous - November 24th, 2009 at 10:45 pm
most loans have no recall clause in them. u have to write a recall clause into the loan contract and as it was part of the kyrgiakos deal we cant do without voiding the transfer and we cant send him back as we bought him not loaned kyrgiakos.
kermit - November 24th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
benitez out its time for a change
anonymous - November 24th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
were out, rafa again playing all the work horses no talent , he wasted 20 milllion last year with keane and hes wasted 20 million again cause he aint even playing the lad how is kuyt and lucas in our team tonight seriously , we should of won 4-0 tonight to give us some pride. rafa out ive had enough
anonymous - November 24th, 2009 at 11:27 pm
hey – anonymous – November 24th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
Finally had enough?? did it take that much to sway you….. Rafa needed to go 6 games ago!! or rather 3 years ago !!!!
If that happened we would have won the league last year and would still be in the champions league now!!

i am glad we as liverpool fans have began to realise that like the yanks raffa is no good for us and none of them belong here….granted we have to be thankful to raffa for the cl win and also players like torres and reina, but the guy is too bloody arrogunt, stubborn bigheaded and foolish….time to go
Babel talkin of leaving but i say you have been very patience all this time just wait till the summer i have a feeling everything is going to end well for him and the team ie. yanks will be bought out and also raff will be lng gone.
whenn torres is fit play babel up with him and when he is out which is like 40/60games play nemeth with babel trust me it will work gerrad and aquilliani in the center benayun on the right and one new good winger on the left we would be sorted bring in della valle, pacheo, kelly, ayala, the german kid can’t remember his name and this new french defender who also looks good for the reserves bring them all in together into the first team, we will do well.
kermit - November 25th, 2009 at 12:10 am
i d rather rafa was gone by nine am tomorrow morning, rafa will never play with both babel and torres uo front
though its a nice idea
Retryboy - November 25th, 2009 at 12:19 am
Don’t think babel/torres would work at all far too similar players. Babel has always looked best for me on the right and the only competition he has there is kuyt, el zhar who amoo will overtake soon and be knocking on the door. Nemeth would be the perfect partner for torres. Need some creativity from midfield so annoying we have the players and rafa won’t do what is so obvious. Want Mancini in!!
kermit - November 25th, 2009 at 12:25 am
what about babel- torres and gerrard as a forward three ina 4 3 3 formation
rassell - November 25th, 2009 at 12:26 am
Mate trust me babel on the rcf position and torress on the lcf position with the like of aquillani, gerrad and benayun feeding em alond with a quality left winger will be goals gallore, it would be a dream come true we know torres and babel can creategoal for each other and also finish, the speed the strength and awsome finishing we as fans will be in heaven and then we will be rudly awakend by the grumpy old raffa who will never play so attacking and secondly even if he did put these players on he will put those custom made boots on em all like you suggested earlier.
kermit - November 25th, 2009 at 12:28 am
and in behind
usual back four
then a midfield trio of reina left aqui right and masch central with babel torres gerrard in the final 3
kermit - November 25th, 2009 at 12:28 am
i meant riera not reina , although knowing rafa its a possibilty
hiddinks 4 3 3 formation
kermit - November 25th, 2009 at 12:32 am
yeah the idea of gerrard in the hole behind torres and bable is exciting , babelk needs t play on the shoulder of the last defender , he is so quick he makes torres look slow
kermit - November 25th, 2009 at 12:34 am
i am praying i wake up in the morning to the news that benitez has been sacked
Retryboy - November 25th, 2009 at 12:35 am
Would just like to see mascherano holding aquilani, gerrard in front benayoun on the left babel on the right torres up front. Babel would get into scoring areas still especially on the break remember champions league against arsenal? 4-5-1 can be attacking just let benayoun, aquilani, gerrard, babel off the leash its such a simple couple of changes but far too attacking for rafa. When the game is won then get kuyt and lucas on to shut down the game.
rassell - November 25th, 2009 at 12:38 am
you guys are right, but only problem i have with retryboys idea is that mascherano isn’t going to be around for much longer he will leave if not in jan then the summer
kermit - November 25th, 2009 at 12:39 am
retro we have been crying out for that formation for weeks, wth masch holding midfield on his own, and aquilani and gerrard given license rto attack same with benni and babel on either wing
thats the formation we have been waiting to see for ages but i think we ll be waiting til aquilani is an old man before he gets a game
seen the lineup against everton
gk ngog
rb yossi
cb gerrard and aquilani
lb podolski
cm carra and agger
striker reina
right wing dossena
left wing aurelio
nothing would surpise me any more with benitez , he has to go now surely
rassell - November 25th, 2009 at 12:40 am
kuyt is shuyt along with mucas they should both be gone and i’d rather see the younger boys given a chance
kermit - November 25th, 2009 at 12:41 am
a 4-5-1 should be 4-5-1 when we dont have the ball
and a 4-1-5 when we do basically

Lol least you have a striker in your team kermit! we always have the ball, we just don’t do anything with it. We broke tonight to the edge of their area and ended up passing the ball all the way back to our own penalty area! Debrecen actually ended up scoring as many goals in the tournament as us!! Rafa again uses mind games on the fans blaming a late goal from lyon. He can’t point the blame at the first games against fiorentina and lyon because there was no injury crisis to hide behind then!
anonymous - November 25th, 2009 at 6:23 pm
What liverpool requires is a manager in the stature of Billy Shankly.Someone close to that is that Mourinho.Even with limited funds and barter trade can build a title winning squad because liverpool have the backbone of Gerrard,Carragher,Torres,Aquilani,Johnson,Mascherano, Ngog,Agger,Reina, Benayoun and Kuyt.sell voronin4m,babel8m,riera6m,skrtel6m,dossena5m,
anonymous - November 26th, 2009 at 11:03 am
the reason rafa took nemeth out on loan is to get first team experience and Ngog was n is still a beta back up. so leave him b because he may come back and no place for him coz torres wil be fit.
anonymous - November 26th, 2009 at 12:34 pm
we traded nemeth for that greek guy? that’s a shit deal! X(
anonymous - November 30th, 2009 at 6:51 pm
hi ya guys nemeth out greek div in another brilliant rafa master stroke. can someone plz tell me why aquaman and yossi where left on the bench v everton why we are left scratching are heads again to understand the utter brainlesness of spanish nutbar . 23mill i wanna see him play.but i have also heard rumours that the more he plays the more we pay.personally i cant see it .but if so is there pressure from upstairs to hold back till novembers debt payment is met.i have also heard hes looking at the local blind skools for new signings . and who would be suprised. on a serious note keep the faith ynwa spota lfc 4eva!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
