The Cardiff City man is another defender reputedly on the radar, although Manchester United are also to be close to a deal. At just 17, he already has a £5m price tag which might be off-putting, but having already picked up Aaron Ramsay from the Bluebirds, Wenger may be more confident that its not a gamble ? and Matthews has already made the Wales senior international squad. Having already nabbed Aaron Ramsey from Cardiff City it appears that Arsene Wenger is showing interest in another of the Welsh sides prized assets in the form of right back Adam Matthews. The 17 year old Welsh Under 21 International has gone from strength to strength this term becoming an almost ever present under Dave Jones’ stewardship and it appears a great many Premier League outfits are keen on signing the teenager.
I guess the one possible obstacle in the way of such a move is whether Matthews could get lost in amongst the oddles of youthful talent at the Emirates and with the likes of Bacary Sagna, Emmanuel Eboue and Kerrea Gilbert already on offer to Arsene Wenger one wonders how much of a chance the youngster would have to fight his way into recognition.

the problem with this kids is that they leave as sson as they get the price. Wenger should ensure that the average age is aleast 26. too many kids too many defeats. train them on how to evade tackles how to score, not only passes and show hows. we want constant goals.
