yeah, group of death is D.
and imo Brazil vs Portugal’s gonna be the biggest duel in the group stage.
And england got lucky without a doubt…weakky ass group

Germany Serbia Ghana Australia is the Group of Death, no doubt about it.
people are talking about brazil/ivory coast/portugal, but those thoughts are based on nostalgia. brazil and ivory coast should have no worries from that group
based on current form and quality, serbia and australia were clearly the best teams in their respective pots, ghana probably were, and germany are germany!
spain have got a piss easy group. swiss along with greece were the worst of the euro pot, chile will get ripped apart at the back.
and as for france, having bumbled there way into the finals and ending up in the euro also rans pot, will be over the moon
kermit - December 4th, 2009 at 8:10 pm
argentina greece nigeria south korea isnt so straight forward either
nor holland denmark cameroon and japan
austraia bettter thna the us and mexico , i dont think so, and serbia better thna portugal???
i wouldnt be so happy if i was france , they play against the hosts with home support always a threat , mexico who always seem to do well in world cups and uruguay, who could pull of a result i hope to god that france get knocked courtesy of a diego forlan handball
kermit - December 4th, 2009 at 8:13 pm
italy spain and england ought to have no problems going through, with groups a b d e and g hard to call, i think brazil and ivory coast to progress at pourtugals expense and spare a thought for pooor north korea first world cup sicne 1966 and they have to play all three
kermit - December 4th, 2009 at 8:16 pm
and i think the biggest duel i the group stage is brazil ivory coast not brazil portugal
i think drogba will have a field day against portugal
kermit - December 4th, 2009 at 8:18 pm
germany against ghana ballack against essien
portugal ivory coast deco and carvalho and ferreira against drogba and kalou
anyway i am now supporting south africa mexico and uruguay

anonymous - December 4th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
Serbia is a better team than most of you think (Vidic – Manchester, Ivanovic – Chelsea, Krasic – CSKA Moskva, Zigic – Valencia, etc.), and surely better then Portugal. Portugal has a lot of big names but as a team is very doubtful. They had a lot of luck to end up in World Cup, barely ended second in group with Denmark and Sweden, and played bad but won in qualifications. By the way Cristiano Ronaldo playing for MU and Cristiano Ronaldo playing for Portugal are two very different men.

i think serbia are seriously dark horses, i think the german group is really tough, but i think argentina nigeria greece south korea is also a tough one netherland denmark cameroon group is also tough, this will be a very competetive world cup with only three teams i would consider walkovers, honduras new zealand and north korea
predictions
group a south africa and mexico to qualify
group b argentina and nigeria
group c england and slovenia
group d ghana and serbia(germany out my big shock)
group e netherland s and denmark
group f italy and paraguay
group g brazil and ivory coast
group h spain and switzerland

I had to come back to COS to talk about the world cup
England has a very simple group and should breeze pass the group stage its only USA which could harm us as they are actually a good side.
Group of Death goes to D because Germany is a strong team and Australia is getting stronger with each passing year and Serbia is underrated ass are Ghana
G i think Brazil will got through and its hard to choose between Portugal and Ivory coast on who will also go through. Portugal boundless talent but just don’t click and Ivory coast is use to this climate (Drogba can be great on his day but can be awful aswell so….i can’t really say he will carry the team)
Overall England has an easy group, still pissed off that France went through and as much as i want England to win i personally think one of Brazil,Spain or Germany will win……England to reach Semi’s
Aquaman - December 4th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
Gosh Kermit. You’re being very generous to SA. I’m happy with that, though I don;t share your optimism.
…samlfc… Welcome back!
Personally I’m backing Spain or Argentina to win it. I know it sounds crazy, but I’ve made these crazy predictions before and nearly got them right. Mark my words!
...samlfc.... - December 4th, 2009 at 10:00 pm
Thanks Aquaman but i’m like semi-back like what my post on your 233 million transfer thing says (plus more details)
Argentina could potentially win it but ther qualifing campaign didn’t help them show that they are capable of doing so.
i hope a team from Africa does well namely Nigeria or Ghana
nanaghlfc - December 4th, 2009 at 10:20 pm
ghana will definately qualify for the next roung. GH4LIFE

anonymous 9:16 pm and anonymous 8:39 pm may both of you go fùck yourselves portugal are ranked top fùcking ten for a reason they played great in 2006 beating the fùcking netherlands who are ranked 3rd best team in the world for fùcks sake who the fùck says the serbs are better than the portuguese, the portuguese will kick their asses im afraid! against ivory coast, there shouldnt be a problem except if they play at a night match they wont be able to see the black players because theyre so fùcking dark. as for brazil, game on match of the world cup. so fùck both of you twats, you know nothing about portugal and their new form with their new manager they are ready to make it to the top four again you fùckin pathetic C U N T S!!!!!!!

anonymous – December 4th, 2009 at 11:49 pm you called these people talking on here saying there pathetic then you go and say racist comments , well done mate thats how you get taken seriously , you little child go to bed
anonymous - December 5th, 2009 at 2:20 am
haha! quite brilliant little angry rant by the “i love portugal” numpty above !!
bunch of cheats and i am glad that they will struggle to get out of that group!
kermit - December 5th, 2009 at 3:43 am
home support aquaman and steven pienaar, france barely beat us to get there , they are no great shakes
portugal wont be able to cope with the power of the ivory coast and they wont beat brazil even with golden boy, predicting an african semi finalist at the very least with ivory coast most likely,
to samlfc , climate isnt going to matter so much, its the south african winter in which its held , cold and wet, i m sure it ll suit the english players as much as anyone
arngentina and spain have a very good chance of winning it aqua, i m gonna go for brazil and england to do well until the moment the stoopid ignorant english fans get lairy singing rule britannia, brazil england final, brazil to win
kermit - December 5th, 2009 at 3:44 am
as long as the french get knocked out by a forlan handball i ll be happy, and the italians dont bore everyone to death in winning it, apart from that i dont really care who wins it
kermit - December 5th, 2009 at 3:45 am
i hate italains almost as much as i hate the french
anonymous - December 5th, 2009 at 7:52 am

Ivory coast ahead of Portugal ! Dream on
I know that is what the sad disallusioned Chelski Supporters want but it aint gonna happen
kermit - December 5th, 2009 at 12:09 pm
i m not a chelski supporter i justwatched the last world cup and ivory coast were seriouslyunlucky not to qualify they outplayed both the netherland s and argentina
kermit - December 5th, 2009 at 12:11 pm
and considering its the first world cup in africa, i would expect all the african teams to perform beyond their usual standards, i predict ivory coast go all the way to the semis
anonymous - December 5th, 2009 at 12:13 pm
that bad i would rather england and spain or germany and italy
so its not just the best team’s in the end
kermit - December 5th, 2009 at 12:17 pm

Aquaman - December 5th, 2009 at 1:39 pm
Um, Kermit, South Africa is not cold and wet in winter. Just cold. Except in Cape Town of course (cold and wet there), but then they’re from a different planet.

I am never happy when France makes it, but this year is from far the most annoying of them all!
Here are the top 3 things that annoy the shit out of me about France:
)
- they are a bunch of socialists and strickers ($ doesn’t come free)
- they had no balls to follow us in Irak (don’t mean to bring politics into this, but they are a bunch of wooses)
- they cheated their way into the WC!!! (The proper way to steal a game is to dive within the goal line; everybody knows that!!

I think Germany will win the World Cup and it wouldn’t surprise me if they verse an African team in the final, most probably Ivory Coast. I don’t think brazil wil make it out of the group.
Kermit shut up, and get a life. I am saying it because it seems the common trend, and its true
anonymous - December 10th, 2009 at 12:41 pm
everyone goes on about are group being easy but the usa have got a good team and were in the confederation cup final beating spain in the semi
anonymous - December 12th, 2009 at 5:51 pm
I would like to start off my saying that the bigotry and hatred illustrated by such unwarranted racism really doesn’t help the cause my man. I fully support Portugal in their quest to lift the cup, but am very wary of stiff competition. I believe that Portugal will have a tough time getting out of the group and from their the competition gets that much harder. I’m glad they draw such a difficult group as a means of playing strong from the very beginning, whereas in past groups they could have been since as run away favorites only to fade away early i.e. South Korea and the U.S. Their last world cup pitted them against Iran, Mexico and Angola, again a fairly decent group in which to play. I believe that this world cup will prove to be their hardest and I have hopeful incantations of a fruitful competition for my beloved Portuguese side. That being said, they have a very, very tough road ahead and shouldn’t take any team lightly. If they come out of the group, they will hopefully have momentum on their side. I believe any team on any given day has the ability to drop many jaws. Don’t be so sure all yourself my Portuguese counterpart. Nothing is set in stone. Just enjoy the ride and drop the racism, this is an internationally spirited game after all.
