Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has laughed off talk linking him with a shock move for former Manchester United star Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Van Nistelrooy has been mentioned as a possible January transfer target for Wenger as he looks to bring in a new striker to compensate for the loss of Robin van Persie to long-term injury.
Real Madrid are believed to be willing to let van Nistelrooy leave the Bernabeu in January as he is well down the pecking order in the Spanish capital and the player could be interested in a move away as he looks to secure his place in the Holland squad for next summer’s World Cupfinals.
Wenger admits any move is highly unlikely considering van Nistelrooy’s popularity among Arsenal fans following a number of high-profile incidents during games between Arsenal and Manchester United.
RelationshipAsked about his pursuit of a striker and the chances of signing van Nistelrooy, Wenger said: “It would not be the best of starts, bearing in mind our past relationship! You have my number – you can text me all the names you find!” (Sky Sports)
Good to see Arsene nipping this absurd rumour in the bud. The question for all Arsenal fans now is who would they like to see signed in January to fill the big RVP shaped hole?

We wudnt mind Wenger signing Any1 from t following names in t jan transfer window:
1. Dzeko (Cup tied n very costly for t prof- Chances of signing him 0.75%)
2. Gignac (Currently Priced very high for wenger – Chances of signing him – 1.7%)
3. Balotelli (Indisciplined – Chances of signing him – 0.28%)
4. Chamakh (Bordeux wud feel bad – Chances of signing him – 2.5%)
5. Van Nistelrooy (He was a drama queen, a drogba of his time n was an absolute C**t whenevr Manu played arsenal- Chances of signing him – 0.93%)
In short… our chances of signing any striker in t jan transfer window is roughly 2-3% provided we find a guy who’s
a.> talented
b.> highly disciplined,
c.> His club must be more than happy to get rid of him
d.> last but most importantly who’s stinkin cheap (Free wud be t most preferable)
Hope we can all collect some money n giv it to t prof so that he can do space travel to other planets to find a talent who matches all the criteria mentioned above…

Personally, I would like to see V Nistelrooy in the Gunner squad. I bet a few Gunner supporters would too
Toni from Italy who is 6′5 tall. Apparently Adriano is out of form and is prone to carry on like a tart and make himself upopular, but he’s free and Wenger likes that. So out of form, fat, ill disciplined fuckwad for free it will be
