Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas gave the north London side the lead at Burnley, only to see Graham Alexander score an equalizer from the spot. The draw hampers Arsenal’s title hopes and Arsene Wenger’s side had enough opportunities to take all three points.

Burnley are a good, compact and hard working side but the Gunners should have had a better result, were it not for the profligate waste of opportunities to finish off a weaker opponent that has become the trademark of many Arsenal games. Where are Walcott, Vela, Eduardo, etc.? With Fabregas injured and a list of recuperating first team players longer than the Great Wall of China, the younger and bench players need to step up and show that they are worth their salaries! Almunia seems less than confident and has lost his lustre. We do need to bring in a more reliable and international keeper as this is an area Arsenal are not obviously blessed with talent.
