Speculation about the future of Craig Bellamy, the Manchester City and Wales striker, has increased since the departure of Mark Hughes as manager and Harry Redknapp, the Tottenham Hotspur manager, has added to it by refusing to rule out a move for the player. “He is a winner, isn’t he?” Redknapp said. “He can be a bit of a nuisance, but he’s a nuisance when you play against him.” (Times Online)
Craig Bellamy it a lot like Marmite, either you hate him or love him, more than likely you hate him, but I have to say I have a soft spot for the Welshman and am also a big fan of a player who plays with his heart on his sleeve and if Harry is indeed looking for another adaptable front man then I think a move for the former West Ham man would be a decent one.
Tottenham look set to lose Roman Pavlyuchenko in the January transfer window so will then be looking to replenish their strikeforce and White Hart Lane could be a good home for the Manchester City man. The 30m year old has been in the form of his life in the past year or so and has found himself being played very usefully out wide where his pace and power have been very useful to the Eastlands outfit.
If Redknapp goes for the nippy front man it will cost him something in the region of £12m but that fee would surely be recouped by the fee that sees Roman leave the club, clearly such a move would only be relevant if indeed the Russian left the club otherwise they will find themselves overrun by talented forwards.

He’d be a great signing for Arsenal. I like him as a player (not many people do) I like the fact he has so much passion for the game. His strength is a much needed asset in the Arsenal squad and he also has a lot of pace and finishing ability. He would be a good singing to cover Van P but could also continue to play first team football even with the Dutch man back. Yes, he is a bit of a temperamental player. But that also woudn’t be a bad thing for Arsenal, intimidation is a great thing to have in the attacking third and Bellamy can bring that to a team. All in all he’s a great player in great form at the moment and he doesn’t seem to happy about the goings on at Manchester City. Get in there before someone else does Arsene.
