liverpool don’t have the money.
why do these stories carry on. if rafa was interested then so would other clubs. as soon as liverpool made a bid there would be many other clubs with more money than us, we have no chance.

There were reports that H&g were now saying rafa could have the money off babel’s sale if he went. If that was the case has to be Arda turan. We had enough frenchman with potential before rafa and none of them worked out any good.

Certs are Maxi Rodriguez(1.25m) and Chamakh(Pre-Contract).
But if babel is sold im sure we’d go for Arda Turan or Mata instead, two players who have been watched by rafa and Liverpool for much longer, however i feel a deal for one of those two wouldn’t be until summer.
Menez on loan maybe?

i thought chamakh was coming in the summer!

menez should be good but if he settles quickly i would still like a left footed lw like bastos though as both menez and turan are right footed so could end up been another babel if played on the left and just running into defenders, so if either do end up coming i would use them on the rw and still try for a left footed left winger if we can free up funds.

would like too see how n’gog and menez gel up front in a 4-4-2 if torres was injured both been french and all, he would probably offer us more options with his versitility.

Rafa Benitez has been given the all-clear to use whatever money he generates from sales and he can use it in this January window, According to Skysports.com…Which is why reports that Babel will be shipped off are back on, i’m guessing this is the guy Benitez will replace him with.

Spota, don’t judge Aquilani based on his 3 appearances, i have been watching the games and i see what he can bring to the team and it looks promising…. I know it feels shit to be a Liverpool supporter at the moment and looking for quick scapegoats is easy… a lot of liverpool supporters jumped on the Lucas bandwagon in the beginning of the season let’s not do the same with Aquilani.

Look to the players that should be performing like Gerrard and Carragher and blame them before taking it out on players who everybody wants to be the mirror image of Alonso like Lucas and Aquilani

The FA Cup for me is my favourite english cup. It pisses me off to see Rafa come in and since he’s been here, not give two fucks about english cups since he won it in 06. Since then he has pissed on the title. I hate the forign managers not giving two fucks about the titles. This is discusting.

Reading did deserve the win…over both legs too its Fucking bad. 2nd half we started looking good and comfortable just didn’t go out for that 2nd goal enough 1 is never enough. Insua skinned again on their winner. Can’t see why he took degen off he was our best attacking threat and when babel first came on he was rm kuyt went up front was working great then after 5 minutes they swapped and kuyt went back to right wing.

I seen the match. I know we didn’t play the Liverpool Way, but then when have we this season? Bunch of fucking overpaid twats who ain’t worth the shirt. Why can’t rafa give a Fucking straight answer now. Why not just say it wasn’t a penalty but they deserved the win. Just repeating “there are things i wasn’t happy with” over and over again. Its as bad as “the referee was perfect” was stupid not rotating the squad, gerrard and torres injured 120 minutes of football for all the players ahead of stoke and spurs the league is by far and away the most important thing but it never is to him.

firstly well done reading it was a weak peno but it was given and well taken so well done.

it wasn’t all doom and gloom there was glimpses of aquilani showing a similar passing range to alonso and some good touches and turns also a few miss placed passes but thats just teething problems, i thought lucas played ok again a couple of miss place passes but there was some good stuff between him and aquilani to say it was one of there first games together, yossi was his usual self, babel i’m losing faith in he was just poor, bad first touch playing balls behind people running into defenders constantly over cooking passes just not good enough! degen looked better,

shame gerrard and torres went off so early i know it was more precautionary but were gonna have to get use to this now as both seem quite injury prone i’d take 120m for the pair and get players we can get a season out of.

most importantly though rafa needs to go! when gerrards was in the tunnel he looked like he was shitting it there is no determination there anymore it was like he was expecting to lose he already looked beaten!

as much as i would love to win the fa cup i agree the champions league is a must as thats what the top players want to play in, we’re a club in well publicised troubles so we need some form of carrot to tempt big names and they can play domestic cups for any team in any league, not to mention the revenue side of things!

Last match against Reading I suggested that we play 70%-80% and rest Gerrard, Torres etc to guard against injuries. Gerrard suspected hamstring, Torres injured, and we still lose to a team that in all likely hood will be playing First Division football next season…… 4th spot looks to be fading fast into the distance

Thing is, it’s one missed “goal” after another with this team and this manager. He speaks of restarting the season and the Cup being a big goal for the club and then we produce performances on par with a Championship side. I’m fucking sick to death of it. I know that there are good times ahead as the boardroom works to give us a future but for how long can we play this shit and get away with it by allowing these players to disgrace the club?

That was a fucking disgrace. Not one player showed any guts for the club, obviously there are problems from the top down, however the players are paid to perform on the pitch and they aren’t, therefore Rafa needs to be shown the door.
It’s his responsibility to get the players motivated and play for the club, which he’s not doing, if this continues we aren’t going to even qualify for the Europa league.
Babel, Kuyt, Beni, Ngog, Skrtel, Lucas are quite simply not good enough, it’s not as if it’s been a game here or there it seems to be every match.
We need a massive clear out to get rid of the prima donna’s and if that means getting rid then so be it.
