Haiti Appeal: Do Your Bit to Help a Stricken Country

Posted by

Time to make a difference.

Obviously we all know how tremendously terrible this tragedy has been for Haiti, but United States international and Hull City striker Jozy Altidore reminds us that we can really make a difference in this situation.

How easy is it to make a difference in Haiti you ask? 100 times easier than Arsenal’s squad trying to say that they pledge to make a difference. But honestly, a few dollars can feed a few children for a week, so why wouldn’t you help out in this time of need?

Here are a few ways to donate:

1. The Red Cross is getting the word out about its text-message donation system. Text “HAITI” to the number 90999 to donate $10, which will be added to your next cellphone bill. You can also donate online through the Red Cross website.

2. If you’re skint and $10 is too much, Haitian-American rapper Wyclef Jean’s foundation to rebuild Haiti, Yéle, is also accepting text-message donations. Text “Yele” to 501501 to donate $5, which will be added to your next phone bill. You can also donate via the Yéle Foundation’s website.

3. To help children in Haiti, donate via UNICEF’s website. (A Football Report)

So come on guys dig deep to help donate funds for those who are truly in need.
