Today Arsenal are back in for the Milan striker. The Gunners want the Dutch goalgetter until the end of the season, though his £65,000-a-week wages are apparently a stumbling block. (Guardian)
Arsenal are leading the race to sign Victor Moses, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is also keen on signing the Crystal Palace forward but it is though the 19-year-old would favour a move to the Gunners.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is now weighing up a move for England U19 international, who has also been monitored by Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Wenger is looking to invest in younger players for the future at Arsenal, and has already assembled a talented squad which includes the likes of Jack Wilshere, Fran Merida, and Aaron Ramsey.
With Robin van Persie looking likely to miss most of the season with an ankle injury Wenger is looking to buy another forward with Moses outlined as a top transfer target.
The striker looks almost certain to leave Palace in the January transfer window with the Eagles looking to cash in on the player to ease their financial problems. (Give Me Football – Official PFA Website)
As Arsenal continue to prove to any doubters that they have genuine hopes of significant silverware this season it appears Arsene Wenger is keen to invest this month in new talent that will not only strengthen any claim for top honours but also act as providing even more hope for the future.
The north London side have been on a fine run of form and look to be giving Chelsea and Manchester United a run for their money this season but Arsene Wenger has continually stated that he will be looking to bring in a striker during this transfer window.
The likes of Edin Dzeko and Marouane Chamakh have loomed large on the Gunners radar but now it appears the momentum is shifting towards making a move for £17m rated AC Milan striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar. The former Real Madrid and Ajax man has not had the best of starts at the San Siro and could well be surprlus to requirements at the Italian giants and some talk revolves around a loan bid but it seems highly unlikely AC Milan would be interested in such a deal and the club amazingly is still in pretty bad financial shape, even after shipping off Kaka to Real Madrid for a mammoth fee, so they would happily take cold hard cash for their Dutch international and it will be down to Arsene Wenger to decide if he thinks such a move is viable given Huntelaar’s recent form.
I would think that such a move would be a very good one. Even when he came under fire at the Bernabeu Huntelaar was still finding the back of the net at Real Madrid and obviously in Holland he was a veritable goal machine. Also its worth noting that a pairing of Robin Van Persie and countryman Huntelaar would work very well indeed.
Another deal in the offing involves Arsenal’s efforts to bring Victor Moses to the Emirates and that deal appears to be a real possibility. Crystal Palace have admitted they expect to lose the talented youngster and Arsenal are now leading the way in the hunt for a good player with great potential.

To be fair Thierry was bought for 10 million in 1999 from the Anelka money so 15-17 now is not that much more 11 years later.. So u never know but don’t think wenger convinced so he would prefer a loan with 1st option if anything I think

Wenger wont buy anyone as each player coming back from an injury is a new signing. At the end of the season we will know why he took a risk and did not replace Adebayor or Toure . The game with Chelsea showed we lacked power upfront. He has lost the plot . Half the team is small and not powerfully built to withstand an assault. We will be lucky to win the premiership as most of them are not strong that they get injured with a small knock. I like Fabercas and the new full back as they want to win compete and win .

Moses looks to be a good deal. I’d rather Dzeko to Huntelar, but you never know. I just wish Arsenal would try to sign up Eden Hazard. That kids got the potential to be the best!

B4 buying Moses We gotta ask t prof 1 thing… id he gonna be a readymade solution to RVP’s absence or wil he hav to slub it out wit t reserves b4 being given a run in t 1st team… if its t latter (Wich is t most likely currently) then buying moses now really doesnt make any sense…We need a striker who can play straight away… not 1 who’ll get into t 1st team after 2013… n Prof if u want to buy huntelaar then buy him now… not after all t 4 crucial upcoming games r over… aftr tat our seasons pretty much wud hav been over… we dont need huntelaar to compete against sides like hull, west ham etc… our current setup’s more than good enuf to handle the situation.. if we need him… then its for t games against manu, chelsea n liverpool…

Erm “He didn’t replace Adebayor or Toure”. Erm didn’t we sign a centre back called Tommy V and give him Toure’s number? I’ll grant that Ade wasn’t replaced but Toure was.
I don’t buy into all this crap about every player coming back from injury is a new signing. Erm no they’re not, you’re just quoting Wenger. They were missing just like we’re missing RVP and Bendy, just because they return from injury doesn’t make them new. Man we only have 5 strikers. For a club playing a 4-3-3 we need at the very least 6 strikers, if not then a good 3 or 4 and some proper wingers.
We neeeeeed new players at the club, I fear for our chances over the next 4 games, Villa we should do ok but Man U and Chelsea will probably stuff us like always. At least we have a nice easy game against Liverpool before the Champs League. Hope we sign somebody before the deadline though!

4 Get it… Wenger’s quelled speculations of signing any striker this season… cuz bendtner is “VERY NEAR” to fitness….
if t prof’s thinking tat his midfield’s gonna score against chelsea@ Stamford bridge n against manu n liverpool either he’s deluded or he’s completely lost t plot…
startin from today is t gunners slide from t challange for t prem… or 4 tat matter our challange to win nythin….
i predict a 3-1 defeat @ villa, a 2-1 defeat against manu @ home, a 4-0 hammering by chelsea @ stamford bridge n a 1-1 win against liverpool @ home…
so tat wud be 1 points taken from a possible 12…
no chance of winnin nythin yet again….cuz wit t squad we hav tellin tat we hav realistic chances of winnin t champs league is a joke.. especially wit competition from teams like barca, real n chelsea…
this is gonna be yet another trophyless season….
Goodbye Cesc… Hope u can win somethin wit barca next season… Thanx to t stubbornness n stingyness of t prof we’ll not win nythin until 2025…
