Tottenham traveled to Elland Road looking to topple the in form League One side and a brace from Jermain Defoe saw the White Hart Lane outfit past Leeds United.
Tottenham attacker David Bentley got a rare start and if he was hoping to try to send a message to Harry Redknapp about what he can do when he is given the chance then tonight he did just that. He brilliantly set up Defoe who put away the chance excellently.
Luciano Becchio equalized for Leeds but the goal did look suspicously offside but that mattered not as he leveled this enthralling tie. Once again David Bentley worked some magic out wide and put in a delicious cross that Defoe scored his second.
Tottenham continued to pile on the pressure and added a third when Jermain Defoe completed his hat-trick.
