The first in a series that will shake the foundations of the beautiful game to the core and perhaps result in a court case or two (we have an excellent lawyer by the way so don’t even bother), yes it’s Idiot Of The Week.
Well what better way to start than with adulterer John Terry. No one can deny the talent the Chelsea man possesses when he takes the field but he does appear to put himself in some right old messy situations when he isn’t patrolling the Stamford Bridge back four.
Now I don’t own a manual on how to be a good captain, hell I don’t even know if such a publication exists, but I feel damn certain that there isn’t a chapter on sleeping with your teammates girlfriend and then urging, and then paying, for a subsequent abortion. I also have a sneaky suspicion that this isn’t the end of it either. I fully expect a Tiger Woods style avalanche of undesirables and Kiss and Tell merchants to come through the woodwork.
What happens next should be interesting? Will Fabio axe JT from the captain’s post? Will he voluntarily resign the position? Will his wife Toni take him back? Will he retain the title of Daddies Sauce Dad of the Year and perhaps most importantly has he got any more skeletons in his closet?
