Arsene Wenger wishes the transfer window was a week longer so that he could replenish his ailing Emirates squad.

Arsene Wenger will surely be spending some of his £35million transfer fund this summer, as Arsenal were involved in three last-minute deals on transfer deadline day which failed to go through.
Wenger was close to bringing in two players on loan, including a centre forward, and another on an initial loan with a view to a permanent move.
It was a dramatic move by the club, the day after their dispiriting 3-1 defeat at home by Manchester United, and not adding to the squad in the final hours may well leave them short for the rest of this season.
But it does seem to indicate that Wenger is ready to spend money in the summer to add the finishing touches to his team. (Daily Mail)
The summer can’t come a minute to soon for Arsenal at present and the fact that Arsene Wenger has money to burn is somewhat irrelevant this end of the transfer window. Having spoken to a great many Gunners fans of late the general consensus is that the Emirates could do with another striker, or two, and a solid dependable keeper and perhaps another centre back (even though Sol Campbell has just returned to the club).
Clearly there is a problem in the attacking area due to the raft of injuries in that department and some would say that Arsene Wenger should have been more prepared for such an eventuality but that could be a little harsh on the Arsenal boss. Others feel that Manuel Almunia is back to his flapping unconfident self and the Spaniard doesn’t seem the keeper he was last season. And its true that the north London club’s back four has been very flat footed and a tad slow when dealing with counter attacks and even basic balls into the box.
Who would Arsenal fans like to see Wenger splash the cash on in the summer?

These will be the three signings in the summer. Really should be this:
Sahko for CB.
Lloris for keeper
Veloso for DM/CB

I love these idiot articles posted like “Arsenal set to spend money” As long as this moron Wenger is here he’ll continue along his “pretty football with no trophies” attitude and keep bringing on cheap reclamation projects cause arsenal is the only team that clearly doesn’t need to spend money to win. Enough with these lies. best write up above, anyone who believe wenger will spend moeny must believe in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy.

We will have £40 million to spend. From
the sale of Fabregas to Barca.
Wenger will get Fabianski and Szneschy to fight for the number 1 shirt, won’t buy a relacement midfielder or striker but will stick to the dross that just negotiated new contracts. Arsene(al) = Joke club.
My colleagues who are Chav/Manc fans have made my
life hell today. Would the manager or team give a toss?
Probably not!
Seaman to Almunia, Keown to Silvestre, Vieira to Denilson, Henry to Bendtner… I can clearly see a 5 year plan. To fuck us over!!

Lloris GK, Sakho CB, Cissoko LB, Huntelaar ST Chamakh ST.
Wenger revolutionised our game in the 90′s, but, it seems that he’s stuck there and we’re becoming too predictable in our play.
To succeed we gotta move forward, the more trophies we win, the more global awareness of our club, the more money will come in via merchandise. Just look at ManUre, Real, Barca. Ask anyone in the world about club football and those three clubs will get majority of mentions.
Wenger has to wake up and realise this simple model, but in order to do this, he must spend and spend big come summer. His youth project sounds good for in 10yrs time but none of those players will be around for that long, we would’ve sold em to Barca or Real by then.
Come on Wenger, wake up, or maybe its time to give Mr Hiddink a call?!!

I gave up on Wenger when he played a under strength team against the spuds in a bloody semi final. He doesn’t respect the fans and he doesn’t understand football in the modern era. He plays the youth in the CC so he can sell them on and is now pissing about with the FA cup. When once I would listen to him intentively I now cover my ears and look away. I loved that man but he has worn me out. He really really doesn’t know.

marouane chamakh-because his free and his a tall, quick player who can score 10-15 at least in a rotation system, and would invaribly get better under wenger
shay given and matthew upson-both have years of prem league experiance and would instantly improve and add leadership and discipline to the defence, and i personally think we could do with a few british/irish players in the defence, its worked before..
felipe melo-tall,solid and physical defensive (and possibly offensive) player who would instantly add more bite and protection to the midfield. After taking part in the world cup (barring injury) he would surely relish a move to the premiership rather then a stagnent serie a in an unspectacular juventus team
david villa-say no more
Out-almunia
fabianski
silvestre
traore
gallas
denilson
vela
eduardo (on loan to get his sharpness and confidence back)
it pains me to say it,but maybe he might consider offloading either rosicky or nasri if they continue to prove as ineffective,or at least bring in the players that will give them the competition they need to up their game

We need arsene wenger but he needs to learn how to spend.
he needs to buy quility players if he wants to keep fab and arshavin happy.
i think we need to buy villa for attack, a good strong defender not a shit one that no one has ever heard of. I would get Lahm, Clichy has been shocking over the past 3 games or so. Then I would bring lloris in. Then sell fabianski, campbell, silveste, bentner, denilson. Then aster we sell and bring all though players if wenger is so desperate he can buy any 6 year old player he wants.

I think Mr. Wenger will be forced to buy due to the fact that Cesc will be sold to Barca this summer! £45mill will allow him to bring in the much needed defensive players we need. My choice would be easy, Joe Hart/Shawcross/V.deWiel/Gonalons/Chamakh. We have a strong foundation with Gallas/Vermealen/Sagna/Song/Diaby/Nasri/Rosicky/RVP/Arshavin and the youth of Djourou/Gibbs/Ramsey/Lansbury/Wilshere/Walcott/Vela/Bendtner. Add the new faces to this and we are a very strong outfit! For one season i would just like to see us keep our top players fit for the whole of the season!!!!

Sack Arsene Wenger. He is shameful with his outburst that domestic cups are not important. What sour grapes! And 3rd in the league is something to be proud of?
He is tactically naive in games and strategically naive in transfers. He sold Abebayour, and got no replacements. He thought Vela and Eduardo were more than enough. It is now proven that these players are overhyped.
Almunia – Jelly hands, slow reflexes
Sagna – cannot cross a decent ball (be reminded he should be a Pro…)
Centrebacks – good commitment, but too short, and have shown that they are uncapable of dealing with muscle-men such as Drogba and Rooney
Clichy – Ashley Cole is miles better than him. He can’t defend, and always liable for high-profile mistakes
Centre-mids – Ok
Left/Right wings – We have no wingers at all. Rosicky/Nasri/Walcott can’t even beat a man on the dribble. Useless players!!!
Eduardo – Completely useless.

Fabregas will leave for Barcelona for a low price because he is eager to go…
Maybe 35 Million/40 Million. But who will Arsene buy with these monies?
Haha, sadly, he will buy crap players, at 0.5 million, 1 million, 1.5 million, 2 million, and maybe Break the Bank and Record to buy a player at 15 million.
How exciting is it to be an Arsenal supporter?
Sack the French Guys – managers and players.

Wenger has done more than any manager in this league. Do people forget boring boring arsenal, do people forget Brue Bloody RIOCH! My God Wenger is a saint and has taken our club through economic crisis and turned our club into a “superclub”! I don’t know where this breed of Glory hunting Arsenal Fans came from. Look at the long time, we are the most financially stable club in the premier league. We rely on know one, we built a brand new stadium and we continually finish top 4. WAKE UP!!! Call yourself Arsenal Fans you make me sick. If Wenger walked out tomorrow It would be because of you “fans” and we would be in CRISIS. This team will be the best Denilson, Song, Diaby WILL make the grade. I the love this club, I love the our style of football and I don’t want to end up like Leeds.

I dont understand why the fans are moaning. Last season was the same, just like the previous seasons. Arsene is building a team and it will be ready really soon, so just hang on in there, it will be ready when the other top clubs stop playing football and sell all there players. Come on, lets get real, arsenal is a business, buy cheap, sell expensive, keep the profit!!!! Simple!!!! nothing will change at the emirates, fancy football that doesnt lead to anything, pratting around the box and not even a shot. Come on!!! i shout at the TV untill it turns itself off. Arsenal will never win a thing untill things change at the top. Sold Adebarndoor replaced him with Bendtner. Play Arshavin as a striker even though he plays best in the hole. We have enough wenger says. Wallcott runs with the ball and then hits a wall week in week out. Sagna, what a waste. How can a footballer not cross a ball? i find it incredible. Clichy, yes he’s been out injured but jesus, he’s slower than Gordon Brown running to the Iraq enquiry.
It’s a shame though. But like they say, drastic things need to happen before drastic changes are made. At this rate we wont even get fourth spot so Wenger will go out and buy in the summer and start the so called building process all over again. It’s shyte, but its arsenal, and its been shyte for a long time.

Wenger never had any intention of buying anyone in january. He delayed with the return to fitness of bendter, which was ultimately the reason he didn’t sign anyone. The line if the ‘right player’ comes along, just kept the fans and those who want him to spend big on the board off his back!

We will be ready next season, you can continue to belive that myth that ha sbeen said for years. I do support the team, we have the skill, not the phisicality. Wenger has admited this team is too young, which I feel is ridicoulus, Gallas, Rosicky, Arshavin, Eduardoo etc… So hopefully he will bring in some expeirence, just come above Spurs, if we don’t we won’t live it down, I think we need to become the loudest fans in country, Stoke are a smaller club yet louder.

I would love Dzeko, but 35mill does seem too much. I hope in the summer he realises the expeirence with the youth will be usefull

Agreed I love a good moan just like all you and the loss HURT LIKE HELL yes I would love to have word class players at Arsenal WE CANT AFFORD THEIR WAGES!!!! GET REAL ALL OF YOU!!!! With fabregas being sold for 40-50 this summer why not turn the money quickly on David villa. With real Madrid spending so much last season, Barcelona buying zlatan it seems like a good offer could pry villa out of valencia. Imagine a frontline of rvp and villa with arshavin and rosicky/nasri/Walcott on the wings. Arsenal for the title.

Wit Wenger it’s always I tried signin him… I tried lurin him… t true picture is nobody’ll sell players to a stingy guy like him…. Tmrw he’ll say Im buyin Villa… but Valencia aint Mad to let go off Villa for 15 Million…. obviously if Valencia want to lose their talented striker they’ll sell him to t highest bidder…
So stop day dreamin… We’ll never win ny trophies until wenger leaves ….

the arsenla board need to do 1 of 2 things
1. sack AW and bring in mourinho
2. tell wenger to actaully but players
if they do keep wenger hes needs to go and buy either
GK- Buffon or Hart or Green
CD- keep the ones weve got also keep silvestre nd campbell
MF- Ronaldinho, never played in premier league nd said he would one day want to, also he woulnt cost a very large amount u could get him for 15-25 mill or buy Ashley Young
ST-chamack on a free plus maybe bring in either pavlychenko or donovan from L.A before everton get him
so the team would be
Buffon/Hart/Green
Clichy Vermelean Gallas Sagna
Song
Arshavin Fabregas Ronaldinho/Young
Van Persie Chamack
Subs: Mannone, Pavlychenko/Donovan, Gibbs, Campbell,Nasri,Rosicky
If we bought these players then could see arsenal being a very dominant force and would win at least 1 trophy
