So there you have it.

Well the usual faces dominate and look how many Man City men made the list, six in total. It also appears that a balance has been addressed in terms of the way the European league fare in this list. Usually the list is very much populated by Premier League players but the La Liga has begun to attract some more big names, possibly as a result of the stiff tax hike given to the big earners in the UK. In this list of 50 I counted 20 from the English top tier and 16 from La Liga but perhaps more notably four of the top five play their trade in Spain.

Also note how Andrei Arshavin is the only Arsenal player to make this rich list, perhaps this is something that will need to be addressed if the Gunners want to avoid seeing Barcelona pouncing for Cesc Fabregas.

So is there anyone on this list who appears to be getting far too much money? Anyone who’s absence is noteworthy?
