Anyone at the Emirates who thought that loaning out midfield prodigy Jack Wilshere to rough and tumble Bolton was a bad move will probably have to re-think their original assessment after this display by the 18 year old Arsenal youngster.
The teenager has been a success at the Reebok since he joined on loan in late January and he is gaining invaluable top level experience at the Trotters and now has a goal to his name and one that helped Bolton to a crucial three points at Upton Park.
The goal itself was an impressive one. After good work out wide by Kevin Davies, who clawed back the ball from the byline, Tamir Cohen eased the ball into Wilshere’s path and the Arsenal man calmly volleyed the ball past Robert Green whilst under great pressure from two oncoming West Ham defenders. It’s the England Under 21 man’s first Premier League goal and one that will Owen Coyle and Arsene Wenger will be most pleased with.
