It seems that Robbie Keane may well have a future away from White Hart Lane after all. The Irishman has had a hard time of it in recent seasons. A failed move to Liverpool was followed by a return to Tottenham that failed to inspire and left Harry Redknapp to make the tough decision to allow the 29 year old to make a loan move up north.
After managing nine goals for the Tottenham from a respectable 18 starts Robbie decided the pull of a move to his boyhood heroes (lets not even have THAT conversation) was too good to pass up and whilst the SPL title dream is over for this term it hasn’t stopped him from going goal crazy managing five goals in his first six starts.
The two goals at Falkirk show what Robbie does best. Both finishes show a fantastic ability to control the ball in close quarters. Both goals show how Keane can take his chances when he is in the mood. Yes these goals are against a fairly average side but both are very competent efforts that show that the Spurs man still has a lot to offer and it seems the Dublin born striker may well have done enough to persuade the Parkhead side to consider making a move to sign up the Tottenham man on a permanent deal.
