Perhaps Becks is not as stupid as he looks?

Football - Manchester United v AC Milan UEFA Champions League Second Round Second Leg

DAVID BECKHAM joined the anti-Glazer protests on his return to Old Trafford.
Former Manchester United hero Becks picked up a green and gold scarf and wrapped it around his neck in a clear show of support for the home fans’ campaign.

He said: “I did it as I’m a United fan, always will be.”

The American owners, on a surprise visit to the game, were stunned as the Milan ace was cheered off.

Beckham added: “It’s not for me to comment about the ownership of the club or how it is run, that is for other people.

“I saw the scarf and I picked it up because it is the original colours of the club as Newton Heath.

“I hope United now go all the way. They deserve to. It’s a great fanbase at a great club with a great manager.” (The Sun)

Its good to see former Manchester United superstar David Beckham pinning his colours to the mast on this one. Clearly he knew exactly what he was doing and the Anti-Glazer movement (more power to them) got the poster boy it needed.

I was glad to see Becks get such a great reception and despite his side getting hammered at Old Trafford it was good to see the England man show his respect for his former fans and his donning of the scarf does wonders to highlight the problems at the club.

Hopefully this will go some way to rocking the boardroom boat and whilst clearly it will take a lot more to bring the Glazers to their knees the media frenzy that Beckham produces can only help the club’s fans in their aim to rid themselves their current owners.
