Sampdoria Striker Antonio Cassano In Tears as He Scores Against His Former Club (Video)

by Mad Dog and Glory on March 25th, 2010 2 comments

Antonio Cassano is an odd character. One of those talents who flits from club to club never quite finding a place he could call home. Clearly though he has very fond ties to Bari the club that spotted his talent and honed the youngster through their youth system before he was offloaded to Roma for his first big break. So when he inexplicably scored for Sampdoria at his former club he clearly was not happy about it. At one point he appears to shed a tear and apologises to his former fans who seem to appreciate the gesture. Its nice to see such magnanimous behaviour from a footballer. Thanks to Dirty Tackle for alerting us to this.

(Video) Manchester City Boss Roberto Mancini Attacks Everton Manager David Moyes: Fight!

by Mad Dog and Glory on March 25th, 2010 10 comments

Eastlands boss Roberto Mancini normally comes across as a calm and rational human being for a few seconds last night he lost his cool, big time. David Moyes was of course doing what manager’s do when they are leading a match with a few minutes to go, he tried to waste a little time, something that does of course annoy the hell out of the opposition and their fans but thats no reason to attempt to assault the Goodison Park boss. Both were sent to the stands after this scuffle, not sure why the Everton boss should’ve been sent off, as far as I am aware being set upon by an opposing manager isn’t an offence.

Portsmouth 0-5 Chelsea Premier League Highlights (Video)

by Mad Dog and Glory on March 24th, 2010 13 comments

Chelsea easily beat doomed Portsmouth at Fratton Park to retake second spot in the Premier League. Carlo Ancelotti will be pleased to see his side bounce back from some fairly average performances.

A brace each from Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda led the Stamford Bridge side past Pompey and Blues’ former manager Avram Grant. The win sees the top three in the Premier League separated by just three points as the season nears an exciting conclusion.

Frank Lampard added a fifth in the dying seconds.
