Brazilian ace set to turn down Stamford Bridge move.
Brazilian starlet Alexandre Pato will reportedly turn down the chance of a move to Premier League side Chelsea and continue to plug away at AC Milan in the hopes that the Serie A side may experience an upturn in fortunes. The striker’s agent has stated that his 20 year old client will not look to leave the San Siro this summer in the hope that manager Leonardo can bring in big name signings that will help the Italian giants to challenge for their first domestic title since 2004.
Now in his third season at AC Milan, Pato has become one of the hottest prospects in Europe but has seen fellow Brazilian leave the club last summer and a distinct lack of successful additions made with the large sum the club received from Real Madrid.
The club has financial problems that have led to the owners being slated by the Rossoneri’s supporters who are understandably unhappy about the clubs fall from grace in recent years. Carlo Ancelotti had hoped to snap up Pato, as well as Andrea Pirlo, from his former club but such raids have been thwarted up until now and it seems that owner, and Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi will have to make funds available when the seasons comes to a conclusion to help prevent any mass exodus in the summer.
