Old Trafford boss looks to snap up promising Slovakian.
Manchester United are ready to make a summer move for Serie A hotshot Marek Hamsik. The Old Trafford outfit are ready to cough up the cash to bring in the £16m rated Napoli man. Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to bring in new additions when the season comes to an end regardless of whether they come away with the Premier League title.
The 22 year old Slovakian has been in imperious form this season and has been a mainstay of the club’s steady climb into the top echelons of the Italian league. Hamsik has become something of a cult hero Stadio San Paolo and whilst Napoli won’t want to lose the former Brescia man they will find it hard to prevent the youngster’s head from being turned by the interest shown by the European elite.
Manchester United are having financial problems of late but Ferguson will hope to get some funds from last summers sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid. Hamsik has shown incredible potential in Italy but seems to have outgrown the club but will be more likely to be offloaded if the club fails to secure Champions League football.
Italian sources claim that the Naples club may feel compelled to sell in order to balance the books and are not keen on allowing Marek to join interested parties from within Serie A.
Sir Alex is reportedly keen to add some new fresh faces and wants to add more creativity to his midfield and Hamsik fills both those roles. He is a playmaker of the highest order, capable of creating something out of nothing as well as having an eye for goal.
