Liverpool fell further back from the top four race with this goalless draw at Anfield against Fulham. Rafa Benitez’s side really deserved all three points as they enjoyed the majority of the possession and put a typically determined Craven Cottage side under a great deal of pressure and had many chances to win the game.
Without goal machine Fernando Torres to call upon Rafa had to hope the likes of David Ngog and Ryan Babel could open up the west London side’s defence but time and again they were denied.
The draw leaves the Merseyside outfit with a mountain to climb if they are to clinch fourth spot.
