Goodison Park boss wants talented midfielder.
David Moyes has set his sights on a summer move for Inter Milan’s impressive playmaker Sulley Muntari. The Goodison Park boss is hoping to gather enough funds together to make an offer to persuade the former Portsmouth man to consider a move back to the Premier League.
25 year old Ghanaian Muntari has been something of an up and down player at the San Siro who on occasion puts in a performance that more than justifies his place in the Serie A title holders starting eleven but inconsistency has meant that Jose Mourinho has on occasion opted for alternatives to the talented attacking midfielder.
Muntari has had a few problems settling into life in Milan and was said to be angered by Mourinho’s comments about his lack of fitness during the holy month of Ramadan earlier in the season.
Everton would love to add another creative midfielder to their ranks as they have all to often been reliant on the mercurial talents of Mikel Arteta or the more advanced Tim Cahill to spearhead their forward momentum but could find it hard to come up with the funds to make a realistic offer for the £18m rated Muntari.
