White Hart Lane man interests Hammers boss.
Gianfranco Zola will attempt to persuade arch rivals Tottenham to sell them Jamie O’Hara this summer. The West Ham boss is willing to bid up to £5m to sign the 23 year old midfielder and hopes to beat the likes of Wolves to his signature.
Harry Redknapp is looking to trim his squad down when the season comes to a close and may see the O’Hara as expendable. The talented midfielder has performed admirably during his season on loan at Portsmouth but may not be keen on returning to White Hart Lane just to sit on the bench.
He may well welcome a move to near neighbours West Ham where he could probably expect to be a first team regular, something he will be looking to achieve to help progress a career that has stifled somewhat at Tottenham.
O’Hara has managed just 15 Premier League starts at the White Hart Lane club and will no doubt have enjoyed the regular action he was getting at Fratton Park and would probably jump at the chance of a move to another Premier League side. Clearly any move to Upton Park will be greatly influenced by the east London sides ability to beat the drop.
