Scottish international wants to stay at Sunderland.
Tottenham full back Alan Hutton has made it abundantly clear that he would not like to return to north London and has set his sights on remaining at Sunderland after his loan deal comes to an end.
“Of course I’d love to stay. It’s a massive club and I get on really well with the manager and the rest of the team. They have got everything in place and they are building for the future.” (Various)
The 25 year old Scottish International has been a big success at the Stadium of Light where in eight matches on loan he has been on the losing side just once. Steve Bruce is said to be keen to snap up the former Rangers man but agreeing a price with Harry Redknapp may be the biggest obstacle.
Juande Ramos paid a hefty £9m for the right back in January 2008 but it seems unlikely the Black Cats will put in a bid anywhere near that high so it could become something of a war of attrition between the two clubs in order to find the right price for Hutton.
