Emirates boss keen on Latics duo.
Reports are circulating that Arsene Wenger will make a double swoop to capture Wigan pair Hugo Rodallega and Charles N’Zogbia this summer. The Arsenal boss is looking to freshen things up in the Emirates squad after seeing his team’s title hopes take a blow at White Hart Lane earlier this week.
The Gunners supremo is looking to spend large sums of money to help get his side closer to ending their silverware drought. Wenger has always been a manager who very rarely spends large sums but he may feel the need to splash the cash in order to bring the good times back to the club.
Apparently keen on bringing in new attacking option having seen his side crippled by an injury crisis that left him at one point without a recognised striker to call upon. Hugo Rodallega apparently impresses the Frenchman and Charles N’Zogbia has long been admired by Wenger and a joint valuation of £22m is unlikely to scare off Arsenal.
Roberto Martinez has already admitted in interviews that he is resigned to losing N’Zogbia but will not be happy to lose both of his top performers even if he does indeed steer the Latics away from the drop.
