White Hart Lane boss ready to swing the axe.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is looking to trim his large White Hart Lane squad this summer in order to generate funds to bring in new additions to help the club continue their forward surge up the Premier League table.
The Spurs manager will be looking to sell Robbie Keane, Alan Hutton, Jamie O’Hara and Roman Pavlyuchenko so that he can bring in players to add further strength in depth to the club who has had an incredible turn in fortunes over the past 18 months.
Celtic may not have the funds to sign Keane but the likes of Aston Villa are also keen on snapping up the Irish international. Alan Hutton looks odds on to seal a permanent move to Sunderland after a successful loan spell at the Stadium of Light. Jamie O’Hara would like to return to Tottenham but will not be too keen to be warming the bench for long periods after impressing at doomed at Portsmouth. Newcastle United have shown an interest in the attacking midfielder and West Ham are also said to be interested in the 23 year old.
One player who’s future seems less cut and dried is Russian forward Roman Pavlyuchenko who appeared to be heading for the White Hart Lane exit before a big improvement in form proved to Redknapp of his worth. However the former Spartak Moscow man is apparently homesick and could still be set to leave the club regardless of his scoring streak.
