Arsene Wenger ready to bring talented young keeper to the Emirates.
Arsenal are planning an £9m summer raid to bring Manchester City keeper Joe Hart to the Emirates. Arsene Wenger is not happy with first choice keeper Manuel Almunia and the Spaniard’s erratic performances will lose him his first team starting spot if the Gunners can convince the Eastlands outfit to sell the England international.
Currently on loan at Birmingham City the 22 year old has been frozen out at the City of Manchester Stadium where Shay Given is clearly their preferred choice. Hart hopes to be Fabio Capello’s first choice at the World Cup but the former Shrewsbury Town man knows that he is unlikely to get a run in the first team under Roberto Mancini and knows that he therefore has to look elsewhere to continue his career progression.
St Andrews’ boss Alex McLeish would love top sign the keeper on a permanent deal but may be put off by the large price tag whereas Arsene Wenger has been told he will be given a hefty cash injection to invest in his playing squad and the idea of paying £9m for Joe Hart will be a signing that the north London club will happily splash the cash for.
