Toffees boss wants Irish international to freshen up Goodison Park attack.
Everton will attempt to nab Wolves striker Kevin Doyle this summer. David Moyes wants to bring in the Irish international to help boost the Goodison Park side’s attacking options. The 26 year old former Reading man has had a decent season at Molinuex where his seven goal haul makes him the club’s top scorer.
It will take a bid in excess of £10m to persuade Mick McCarthy to sell but Doyle’s commendable Premier League record may mean that Moyes is happy to meet the relatively high valuation. The Toffees boss is looking to Doyle to partner Louis Saha as Yakubu fails to life up to his first season at the club and has managed just 11 goals in the past two seasons.
Doyle is sure to be interested in a move to Everton as he looks to further his career progression and the allure of European football may well appeal to the Cork born goalscorer.
