Big Norwegian set for Craven Cottage move.
Roy Hodgson is ready to snap up Aston Villa forward John Carew on the cheap. The Norwegian international has just one year left on his Villa Park contract and has reportedly bought a house in south west London furthering speculation about a move to the Cottagers.
Carew has become something of a cult hero at the midlands outfit and has been an astonishing success since his arrival in January 2007. The towering former Valencia man has netted an impressive 51 goals in 94 starts but still finds himself out of the first team picture, sharing his role with Emile Heskey as support for England international Gabriel Agbonlahor.
Fulham could well do with another forward to share goal scoring duties with in form Bobby Zamora but it seems unlikely that Hodgson could pair the two striking heavyweights in the same eleven.
