German goal machine ready to put poor season behind him.
There are few better big match strikers in the game than Miroslav Klose. The Polish born German international’s ability to score crucial goals is there for all to see. The 31 year old managed five goals in both the 2002 and 2006 World Cup Finals tournament and has nabbed another 18 goals in qualification matches and European Champhionship tournaments a record that is pretty much second to none among his generation.
It is true however that Klose hasn’t had the best of seasons with Bayern Munich this term and has found himself playing second fiddle to first choice pairing of Ivica Olic and Mario Gomez but this could indeed spur the former Werder Bremen man to have a great World Cup.
Only three players scored more goals than Miroslav in the European section of World Cup qualifying and it would take a brave man to predict that Klose won’t score a few in South Africa this summer after all only Gerd Muller has scored more goals for Germany.
