Reports from Italy suggest that AC Milan will give in to constant advances for their Brazilian international Alexandre Pato. The Serie A side are willing to accept offers in the region of £43m for the 20 year old and Chelsea are said to be leading the chase.
Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with a move for his former San Siro charge ever since he moved to Stamford Bridge and with his main striking pair, Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka, both aging 30 and above the west London club have been chasing new goalscoring recruits.
Roman Abramovich is willing to back Ancelotti’s wishes in the transfer market and if the Italian giants are indeed ready to sell the former Internacional man then Chelsea hope that a move to the Premier League tempts Pato. Manchester City are also said to be keen on snapping up the immense young talent but without being able to offer Champions League football, unless they beat Tottenham to fourth place this season, they will struggle to persuade the AC Milan to move to Eastlands.
