Anfield boss eyes up adaptable Swiss international.
Rafa Benitez is considering lining up a summer bid for West Ham’s adaptable Swiss International Valon Behrami. The Liverpool is known to be an admirer of the former Lazio man and is ready to make a move for the 25 year old Swiss international.
West Ham owner David Sullivan has been quoted as stating that just about every Hammer has a price on his head and this news may well spark mass interest in the east London club’s top performers. Benitez wants to give his squad an injection of strength in depth and is greatly interested in any player who can cover a number of positions effectively, and this is something Behrami offers.
The intelligent right sided player can double up as a full back and out and out winger and has also been known to ply his trade in an advanced midfield role and could be available for around £8m and the Anfield boss is looking to supplement the move with funds generated from the sale of Spaniard Albert Riera.
